We recently had an assessment with Tom Pearson and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From the initial contact through to receiving the final report, the entire process was professional, efficient and thorough. Most importantly, he put my son at ease, built a good rapport and created a relaxed environment to gain the best from the assessments. The report was comprehensive, insightful and clearly reflected the difficulties my son experiences, while also highlighting his strengths. It will be an invaluable tool in supporting my son fully.
I cannot recommend Tom highly enough. We found his assessment such a valuable and positive experience for us all. His professionalism was clear from the start, as was his warm and engaging manner. The report was comprehensive and insightful, and has been a huge help in working out the best way to support my daughter. I’m particularly thrilled that she has not shown any negative impact following the tests, and even enjoyed them. This is all down to Tom.
Tom has been fantastic with our daughter. He was recommended to us by three separate families for a dyslexia assessment and we can see why. He was so helpful when we first contacted him and was very honest about what might or might not be possible given the age of our daughter. During the session he made the assessments really fun and kept us informed throughout. He put us and our daughter at ease and understood exactly what she needed to feel comfortable in that situation. The report was sent through to us very quickly afterwards and has been so insightful. Not only do we have the answers we were looking for, we also have a lot of really useful advice for us and her teachers on how to help and support her. Our daughter is really happy, she feels she understands now why she struggled compared to her friends and is more confident. Tom also suggested some books that would be more engaging for her and some different techniques for reading with her that she has been throughly embracing and is genuinely excited to read now (whereas before she avoided it and reading was a point of tension for her). We haven't shared it with the school yet but are looking forward to putting his advice into action.
