I can’t recommend Mark highly enough. He is truly validating and incredibly helpful, whether you’re working through challenging situations or everyday struggles. Through our sessions, I’ve gained so many valuable tools and coping strategies that I’ll carry with me for life. Mark is so easy to talk to — kind, understanding, empathetic, and completely non-judgemental. I honestly couldn’t be more thankful for the support he’s given me.
Mark is a kind, empathetic and compassionate man. He is very skilled at counselling and I value him highly. Finding a good working relationship that is therapeutic with a counsellor is really important and I was able to do that with Mark. I can't thank him enough and highly recommend him
I used Mark’s services during a period of difficulty in my life and I couldn’t recommend him enough. He took the time to get to know me, to understand how I received/responded information and make ways for me to outwork our sessions in a way that suited me. Our sessions were then tailored to help me and didn’t feel generic. I can honestly say I am a better person because of the work done with Mark. He wasn’t judgemental but just listened and emphasised with what I was going through. If you’re thinking of using Mark then certainly reach out for a chat, you won’t regret it. Thanks Mark!
I started therapy as I felt a strong urge that I wanted a space where I could speak freely and openly without judgment. Mark's humanistic and reflective approach was exactly what I wanted and I emphasised that to him from the start. Mark was fantastic, professional yet casual when needed. I never once felt judged, only heard and respected. I spent about a year with him in person at his space on Cathedral Road. Starting with weekly sessions then transitioning monthly as my needs changed. Truly, I didn't have many open and non judgemental spaces which I could really be myself, so therapy provided that. It helped me work towards an authentic version of myself which I am comfortable expressing outside of therapy. Although I felt a strong urge to start therapy, I didn't feel like my reasonings were very serious and didn't think that they were justifiable to start, "surely other people are dealing with bigger issues than me?"... To anyone thinking the same as I did, I would highly recommend you think otherwise. Therapy has been a great decision and I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you, Mark
Throughout all of my sessions with Mark I felt listened to, understood and in a safe space to explore vulnerable situations and memories. Mark led our sessions with up most professionalism and it felt that each week I would make progress through Marks support and guidance. One of the main reasons I decided to work with Mark was due to them being an LGBTQ+ advocate and I felt safe to explore my recently discovered sexuality within our sessions. Marks work space was always welcoming too
If you’re looking for a therapist in Cardiff, you are in the right place. Mark helped me work through lots of difficult stuff and I left therapy with a much happier, more meaningful life. Definitely recommend.
I am now in a happier, healthier position than I was before starting these sessions with Mark. He was always willing to adapt his methods to suit me, and I always felt that I was being heard and listened to. Every session was held at a pace I set and felt comfortable with, and I was able to see Mark as little or as much as I felt necessary. Through the various techniques and discussions we had, I was able to make a real impact on my life for the better. Mark also created a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere in the therapy room which allowed me to relax and focus on our sessions together.
I reached out to Mark for talking therapy and after an initial conversation to get a sense of each other, we went on with online sessions together for a number of months. Over this time I found Mark incredibly easy to talk with and he encouraged me in so many ways to share, process and grow. Asking for help is really hard. Mark made it feel less hard. I can give a wholehearted recommendation for him.
I contacted Mark after trying many different therapists. His approach was refreshingly simple and free from the kind of technical jargon that had made therapy hard for me to access in the past. His method of 'reflecting' back to you what you've said was really the first time I've felt truly heard during therapy. I feel that Mark's approach of helping me to help myself has resulted in more long-term benefits to my mental health and wellbeing.
Mark was a kind and compassionate guide throughout, and offered helpful and varied techniques when appropriate. The way the sessions unfolded felt natural and spontaneous, yet taken as a whole, there was a clear structure and the sense of a connecting journey. I was left with a new perspective on my current situation, and a feeling of hope and openness towards the future. I would not hesitate to recommend Mark for anyone working through difficult or overwhelming emotions.
