Julie does not communicate well at all with patients (nor parents) and thinks it is ok to say that you will be waiting around (virtually) for 20 minutes, so she is constantly late to her appointments. Then, just tries to up meds or change them, and is close-minded about discussing other medications. Ignores requests for letters in support of disability claims. Virtual assistant is located overseas so that adds another layer of confusion. Julie has two different emails and domains which adds to even more confusion, on top of she appears to be between Oregon and Arizona. Julie seems to suffer from ADHD herself and I could not recommend her to anyone suffering with ADHD/Autism like my son does (and apparently she had claimed to specialize in). She's a headache and I'm so glad we left! How do they even let people like this prescribe is beyond me. Read her reviews. Her patient summaries aren't any better. One big disorganized mess.
decided early on that i had a particular condition, did not budge from this decision, prescribed several medications that either did nothing to alleviate symptoms or made things worse, and basically left me on my own to get a diagnosis independently if I wanted to try something else. I did not feel like I was being taken seriously past the first appointment and decided after a few months my time was better spent elsewhere.
If I were you, I’d seek a proper psychiatrist elsewhere, this place is a scam. I filled out every bit of paperwork, did their online “screeners” (the raads/ catq) all for them to refuse to schedule me with the one psychiatrist who has openings and accepts my insurance. They did schedule me with a provider who didn’t even accept my insurance and didn’t let me know until the night before. They refused to offer me any other alternatives and beat around the bush instead of just telling me flat out “you can’t be a client here” for whatever reason. It’s super sketchy and I would recommend aspiring clients to look for services elsewhere.
Poor communication. Seeking help for sleeplessness due to anxiety for Julie Angileri at ZenDen/Capstone was one of the worst decisions in my life. Julie and her office staff misrepresented the acceptance of my insurance. I saw on their website that they accepted my insurance and was “in network” as well as getting verbal verification from her office that this was the case. Julie wanted to see me every other week so I went along expecting $40 copayments. No acceptable solutions were provided. After seeing Julie 7 times I started getting rejection letters from my insurance company citing that Julie and ZenDen were not in fact in network and my visits, which Julie was billing my insurance $750.00 per 15 minute session, would not be covered and I would be responsible for thousands of dollars. I confronted Julie about this and she said she thought she was “in network” and asked me to give her time to investigate. I didn’t hear anything back from her until 11 months later when I started getting bills again without any explanation. I’m sure you can imagine what kind of stress this caused and what this did for my anxiety. Julie provided absolutely no help to me and in fact made my life worse. I would caution anyone seeking help from this office to strongly reconsider. BUYER BEWARE!!! It
I trust Julie completely. I initially was nervous to look for a prescriber because I’ve had a lot of negative experiences in the past. Right off the bat, Julie eased those nerves by being incredibly responsive and working with me through my initial questions via email. Her approach is holistic, gentle, and kind. We worked together to find something that was aligned for me, and she supported me through a process of understanding myself and my neurodivergence in a completely new way. I’ve always felt safe within my queer and trans identity with her, and haven’t ever felt any form of judgement. Not only does she provide incredible ongoing care, but she is also attuned and tracks important dates and details in a way I’ve not experienced with a provider before. Working with her the past year has been the greatest gift. I truly can’t say enough positive things. Her care and approach laid the groundwork for me to support myself, and ultimately shift my life from survival into stability and the ability to access joy. ✨
Julie is by far the best psychiatrist I've ever had, she's incredibly understanding and well versed in dealing with a wide range of mental health issues, I genuinely can't recommend her enough. ZenDen also makes communication super easy through email and Spruce.
The first therapist to listen to actually listen to me and help me figure out what kind of medication (if any) I wanted to start. I seriously appreciate Julie so much, I recommend her to any friends and family seeking assistance.
Julie is great and the office is easy to get in contact with and kind!
