Wellcoast has helped me so much. For years I have gone feeling like nothing was helping and unheard. Wellcoast has me on the right path. My providers actually listen to me and work together for the best care possible. 10/10 Would recommend!
I had an extremely frustrating billing experience with Well Coast Medical that took weeks to resolve and ultimately required bank involvement. I canceled an appointment scheduled for November 13, 2025 with more than two business days’ notice, in accordance with their stated policy. Despite this, I was charged a cancellation fee. What’s especially concerning is that I was first charged $50 on September 24, 2025 — nearly seven weeks before the November appointment even occurred — toward an alleged “late cancellation.” That alone made no sense. After multiple unanswered messages and calls to billing, I finally received an email stating that I would be issued a refund. The charge was refunded on January 20, 2026. Then, eight days later, I received another invoice for the SAME appointment, and another $50 was withdrawn from my account. When I did call billing about this I was told it was my co-pay (that’s what it was apparently billed as) but here is the kicker, I do not have a copay. I was then told it may have been because of my appointment cancellation on the 13th of January (which was cancelled on the 8th). After a significant amount of back and forth, billing told me they would escalate the situation but there is no way to expedite the request and no one higher up I could speak with. This was mind boggling as they essentially stole money from my account. So to summarize: -I canceled within policy - I was charged anyway - Part of the fee was taken before the appointment date even occurred - Billing confirmed I would receive a refund - The charge was refunded - Then I was charged again - Billing did not respond to repeated outreach This level of billing disorganization and lack of communication is not only unacceptable but deeply concerning. If you use this company, I strongly recommend closely monitoring your statements and keeping documentation of everything. I hope management takes a serious look at their billing practices.
The providers mean well but they are set up to fail by this company. They make you do everything through their awful web portal. Once my provider just didn't show up to an appointment and I had no way to contact anyone besides sending a message no one will see on time. If your provider leaves unexpectedly, the system doesn't allow you to request refills anymore which is risking patient health. Half the time, their portal tells my provider the wrong pharmacy, one I haven't used in two years. They also frequently ask me if I'm on a medication I stopped taking a year ago because the system is constantly giving them the wrong info. Y'all should at the bare minimum have accurate data on what medication your patient is taking. For the amount y'all charge, that's not asking for much.
Kalesha has been a godsend. She listens, asks the right questions to get the most pertinent information, is professional, personal, and redirects the conversation gently when I go off on a tangent about the concerns I have for my kiddo. She replies promptly; she is very thorough and has our whole family’s complete trust. Well Coast overall has been great to work with. Their procedures regarding communication, expectations, offerings and billing are all straightforward and very reasonable. We’ve been with them for a long time now and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. I’ve recommended them to other families who have had great experiences too.
Rude. Arbitrarily deny appointment requests with no explanation after making you fill out a very lengthy and repetitive request form that ends with threatening to charge your credit card $400 (!!) for cancelling an appointment within 48 hours. Clearly don’t value their clients time or experience.
Melanie as a provider is amazing but the billing and office staff are so hard to work with. You can never reach anyone when you have a question and they charge you extra and can never find out why. You have to communicate through their “portal” and it gives you and error whenever you try to send a message through. Been trying for months and can never get a message to send, let alone an answer back.
I seriously cannot say enough things about my experience with WellCoast medical. I have been with them for years now. I see two different people, and I could not be on this wellness journey without them, and I’d like to recognize them both. My med provider, Melanie, is a literal angel. To say she truly cares about her patients is a serious understatement. This woman is one of the most caring, understanding, compassionate people I have ever met. She listens to me and my needs, and thanks to her I’m now on a great medication combination that is making so much difference in my life. Melanie is a blessing in my life and journey, I’m beyond thankful for her. Melanie referred me to my incredible therapist, Zena. Zena is amazing at listening and understanding, helping me understand why I do the things I do and how to make the most of my life. She has made me realize so much about myself, and I couldn’t do this without her. She is a wonderful human being and therapist. She is very skilled, thorough, and kind. These two people have literally changed my life. For that, I cannot say anything bad about WellCoast at all. I’m so glad I found this company. Forever grateful. I obviously cannot recommend them enough.
Melanie is a very kind, compassionate provider. She has incredible knowledge when it comes to medication. She always quickly responds to my questions in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a competent and caring provider.
The reception staff made it a very unwelcoming experience when I attempted to reschedule an intake appointment. The representative did not attempt to problem solve the issue until some awkward pauses occurred. She seemed very cold when I was just trying to get some help. I did appreciate that she eventually gave insight on the problem, but it felt like I was a bother to her. I decided on this encounter to terminate any counseling with Well Coast Medical going forward.
After seeing multiple medical providers for my mental health struggles & spending many years trying to pinpoint what was happening in my brain, I’m so glad I found Melanie Ramsey at WellCoast. I specifically chose her on Psychology Today because she has knowledge about mood disorders and ADHD, which commonly overlap. She’s helped me find the answers that make sense to me & finally put together the start to a treatment plan that works for me. She’s very kind, knowledgeable and affirming!
