The most unprofessional, uneducated group of people who don't follow HIPPA guidelines and are just all around nasty people. They also harass you for payment & don't show up for appointments. They need more help than their clients, specifically Jill Little.
This is a directory of therapists. Where you can view profiles of all the therapists who have signed up to use this service. The therapists on here do not work at Portland Therapy Center. There is no "center" called Portland Therapy Center. It is a really bad name. It could more accurately be called Portland Therapy Directory. The low reviews on here are due to a misunderstanding that this is a website therapists sign up for to list themselves. There are like 1000 therapists on here. Some are going to be amazing. Some are going to suck. It's up to you in the consultation to interview the therapist to see if they are a good fit for you.
This website has been unfairly review bombed by people who are trying to review a specific therapist instead of the platform itself. Portland Therapy Center is an excellent platform that has detailed search engines with complex filters that help you find a therapist who takes your insurance and will be a good match for you. I use this resource all the time to help my clients and family find therapists to great success.
Calls nurse practitioners and similar "psychiatrists". This is wildly inappropriate and misleading to patients
Love Portland Therapy Center. So grateful to have a local option to find clinicians in the area. Great resource!!!!!
I'm quite confused why others writing reviews for this organization are writing reviews of individual therapists. The Portland Therapy Center is not an organization that vets their therapists. It isn't a private clinic, or private practice. It is an organization that lists all therapists in Portland. That's it. And for that, it does an excellent job at doing what it is suppose to do: list all therapist in Portland. If folks have a bad experience with a therapist I don't see how that has anything to do with The Portland Therapy Center.
Grace Horowitz scheduled TWO separate intakes with me. The first, she texted four or five hours later after hours and said she had gotten disorganized and rescheduled for the same time the following week - only this time she did not show, nor call or email and it’s been over a week since the appointment was supposed to be. Super unprofessional practice being run here and quite frankly a downright danger to the community. If you’re too disorganized to show up for two appointments at the same time two weeks in a row, maybe a field where people rely on you isn’t the right one. I couldn’t possibly recommend this establishment or Grace to anyone struggling with mental health issues, as urgent care can probably provide more support with their on staff social worker than a therapist that you have to pull teeth with just to never be seen or followed up with.
Terrible experience with Dasia Star. Not worth my time, energy or money. She could not even get my partner's name right and she forgot our sessions and continually showed up late. Not a professional and not someone you can trust with your relationship.
