was kicked out for no reason, without a warning from medication management program from reporting symptoms of a new diagnosis. Scam. Stay away.

My provider, KT Kusmaul, has helped me tremendously, and provides a safe space for me to open up about my experiences and difficulties to better guide my treatment plan.

They insist on the patient portal. They will call you on a speakerphone in an echoing room and often don't return calls. Some providers align with tenderqueer and pop psychology. If you want a therapist to coddle your inner child and not be honest about your mental illness, this is a great vacation or spa day. Group therapy is about the impact on the vibe, not folks being honest about how they experience reality. Challenging your distortions will likely cause you more shame. Dialetics are hit or miss. Just say what sounds good and you’ll fit right in.

This place has difficulty with understanding how insurance works, and that problem will fall in your lap, not theirs. I reached out via email to see if my insurance was covered. The unclear response that I got was a link to go to a patient portal, to fill out paperwork. There was zero confirmation that my insurance was actually accepted, and that I would be able to be seen. I then called to speak to someone to verify that my insurance is accepted before filling out all of the paperwork to see someone. I was assured that my insurance was accepted, and that filling out the daunting paperwork would not be a waste of my time. Around two days after completing the paperwork and then getting confirmation of who I would be seeing and when, they sent me an email saying that my insurance is actually NOT covered. Why someone is getting paid to tell people their insurance is covered, is beyond me. I suppose this could be a reason: the paperwork requests a credit/debit card number (which I highly suggest you NOT give them). If you do give them your card info, and they tell you that your insurance will cover your visits when they actually won’t, they can legally charge your card for the services they claimed were covered by insurance. This is just another place that dealing with them is more of a burden, than an opportunity. This place will literally waste your time while you’re trying to get help. At a minimum, their communication is abysmal, which is exactly the opposite of how a therapy type situation should be.
