Neuro Base Camp has been a huge help to my family. Parker is smart and kind. He quickly discovered things that other practitioners never noticed.
I highly recommend Becca and Parker! They are incredibly supportive, validating, and accommodating. Their flexibility in scheduling made it easy to get appointments when I needed them most. Discovering I had vestibular issues was overwhelming, but they made the entire process manageable and reassuring. I felt significant relief within just a few days of my first visit, and their expertise gave me confidence every step of the way.
I've been working with Parker for over a year now, and he has been incredible. I am a rock climber and struggle with shoulder pain, along with other injuries, and he's been so great at incorporating a variety of exercises to tie the different parts of the body together. He is big on modifyong exercises and regiments to accomodate my weaknesses and to hit specific parts of my body. He is also great at working to my pace, where some days we move slower and other days we work a lot harder. When I started with him I could not lift my arm above my head, and my hips hurt like crazy. Now I'm climbing harder than ever and my recovery time is so much shorter. I have had good and bad PT experience in the past, and this has been the best by far!
Great Vestibular PT - certified, experienced, knowledgeable and very fairly priced. I spent days googling and asking for recommendations for a Vestibular PT in the Portland area to help treat and unlock the mystery of sudden onset vertigo. Could not find anyone with that specialty. Finally, I found Neuro Base Camp through VeDA (the Vestibular Disorders Association). As far as I can tell, they are the only Vestibular PTs in the metro area. So glad I found them!
I saw Parker for a running related hip injury that had progressively worsened over time. I had put off seeing a physical therapist until I had persistent pain that couldn’t be ignored, and I wish I had gone sooner. By the end of my first appointment, Parker had already helped noticeably reduce my hip tightness and pain. Parker took the time to listen and ask thorough questions to understand the injury and what was causing it. He then went through a series of exercises with me to find the ones that best targeted my particular issues. I came away with a personalized plan of stretching and strength training exercises designed to improve my mobility, stability, and strength in my hip. With this plan, I was able to continue running while working on strengthening my hip. I highly recommend Neuro Base Camp to anyone dealing with an injury, especially athletes.
I came to Neuro Basecamp for physical therapy after dislocating my shoulder, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Parker was incredibly knowledgeable and worked with me to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that avoided surgery. The intake session was particularly helpful. We thoroughly tested my shoulder and tried a variety of exercises to identify my weak spots and determine what I should focus on improving at home. Parker took the time to explain everything clearly and set up an online portal so I could reference all of the exercises later. I'm grateful for his expertise and highly recommend Neuro Basecamp to anyone dealing with an injury. Parker really knows what he's doing and cares about getting you back to full strength.
I’m an ultra-distance runner and came to Parker for a few issues that were holding me back from running as much as I wanted to. I found him just before a race, and he even helped me get things back on track with some creative, last-minute solutions. Thanks to Parker, I’m now running pain-free again and have a solid strength routine that I’m confident will keep me injury-free for the long run.
Dr. Parker is a gifted physical therapist. My husband has an incomplete spinal cord injury and is paralyzed. He experiences back pain and tone, preventing him from walking with assistance. Having Dr. Parker working with my husband has helped immensely! Dr.Parker is skilled, knowledgeable, patient and creative in his therapies. He challenges my husband and shows him how much he can do with practice, leading to more independence. We couldn’t be happier. My husband has improved and looks forward to going to Physical Therapy.
Parker is the best! I worked with him for over a year after I had a foot surgery to correct a previous surgery. Even though I had a hopeful outlook, I did not think the amount of progress I made was possible. Parker made me feel comfortable from the very beginning, is easy to talk to, and I looked forward to my sessions. They set you up with an app for at-home exercises and a customized routine. I have sent several of my friends to Parker and would highly recommend anyone looking for a therapist to check out Neuro Base Camp!
Parker is a true gem! I worked with him for over a year now to help rehabilitate myself leading up into the 2023 Boston Marathon. I was dealing with both strength and gait issues. He assisted me with providing workouts, along with weekly check-ins to ensure my progression. Not only did I finish the race, but I continued to utilize his guidance throughout the year in preparation for the 2024 Eugene Marathon. Since working with Parker, we’ve become great friends and I appreciate his advice and knowledge with endurance running, strength training, and mental health clarity. If you are a runner, Parker creates the necessary space to help you achieve your goals. Thank you Parker for helping me KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE!
