It took me a while and a string of bad therapists to find the courage to flesh out the enormity of my thoughts into a single coherent statement, but I hope it can help any one like me who is considering this special opportunity. One of the most vital elements of successful therapy is having a provider you can bond with and trust, because ultimately, it's going to be their voice and guidance as a lightpost you turn to when you cannot find your own. Marilyn is particularly valuable because of her unique and incredible ability to tease out the whispers of yourself beneath all the muck, the glimpses that you might even ignore yourself and in turn uses THAT to inform her guidance. An incredibly empowering experience, with light-bulb moments that feel like a gift at your doorstep. She is a rare provider who takes the time to actively focus on putting in the work to be Person-centered, consistently practicing compassion and curiosity. Her deep commitment to dreamwork is tangible and inspiring, and her Jungian and Trauma informed training makes for a somatic lifeline, a place you can finally feel safe enough to stop running, understand all that you've been carrying, and to put it down. If you feel chronically confused or disempowered, and long for meaning, to be truly seen or understood, to feel cared for, taken seriously, and feel more than just a collection of symptoms, I cannot reccommend Marilyn enough. Good luck, may peace find you.
