I think he’s a very good psychiatrist, but here’s a problem if you have extreme anxiety, he does too, & it will bounce off him onto u. Bad. I had to bolt. I was to the point where I was a nervous wreck every time I had appointment with him not cuz he’s a bad guy, but cuz the anxiety was too much for me. I’m in total disagreement @ what he says I owe him. now I’ve had some major health issues this last year, & I should’ve dealt with it earlier & talk to him sooner about the bill & my disagreement w/it cuz I owe him half of what he says & I will deal w/it but my point is is I think he’s a very good doctor but if ur seeing him for anxiety, he’s also very bad at stopping his own anxiety from getting all worked up if you’re having a panic attack for instance, I have a son who has anxiety & if we are like in a panic over something We’ll both get more & more anxious just like from each other or if he comes in my house & is like all panicked & having super anxiety it will rub off on me & I’ll start having anxiety. That is how Dr. Harry is. He’s a good doctor, but he doesn’t know how to stop his own personal anxiety. so if you’re having a panic attack, he’s gonna start having bad anxiety as he talks to you, this is no good. I don’t feel that he bends. If you think he’s wrong, he will not agree with you. he will he will fight to the end that he’s right and that’s why I’ve avoided dealing with this bill because I’m simply afraid to talk to him. It shouldn’t be that way & I am absolutely wrong for not having dealt with it Sooner. I have a letter here from him. I’m afraid to open it. Honestly I’m afraid to even look at it because I get anxiety from it but both my husband & my mother-in-law were like you have got to stop seeing him cuz it was creating massive anxiety, so I just feel like if you’re someone trying to get off of benzos which is what I was trying to do I came from a place where they only gave Xanax because they thought Klonopin was bad and everybody has their opinion on which benzos the right one it’s wrong & which one’s the right one. nobody in Oregon will prescribe Xanax and Klonopin doesn’t work at all for me so I have had to basically it’s been like cold turkey I’ve had 17 seizures this last year almost died. not even he will prescribe me out of it or anything else they just had to give me Klonopin and it’s like it didn’t work and Valium. You can only get in brand-name 4 it 2 work, cause the genetic Teva is garbage only generic in the Portland metro area I called everywhere& probably 90% of the pharmacies out here only have teva brand name is a grand for 2 weeks& it doesn’t work. I gave one to my husband just to see if I was losing my mind and he took it, and he never has ever taken a benzo in his life & it didn’t even do anything 10 mg of diazepam should’ve knocked him out. so with that being said, I felt it was really cruel to put me on a medication that barely worked because the one that worked for me he didn’t like I just wanted to get off of it so because he just couldn’t help me I didn’t want to he shouldn’t he should’ve said I don’t wanna help you from the beginning, but nevertheless he didn’t I ended up on my own figuring it out and I’m down to 1 mg of Xanax not Klonopin & I’m doing great. I’m taking just 1 mg a day & so I was at originally 8 mg then tried to find help I spent 4yrs trying to find a doctor to help me as the doctors who put me on it wouldn’t originally I was on 16 mg I got down to 8& he will help you get off of it, but he will only give u what he decides. Maybe I’m wrong but he scared me to much for me to say this. He just scared me. I don’t like that I had anxiety & a panic attacks Every time I had an appt I would always cry. He scared the crap out of me & I think that he has to have a better bedside manner. Other than that he’s a good doctor. He’s just not good if you have anxiety He’s probably great for people with depression or something like that & I truly mean that he probably is great, when it comes to depression not anxiety, it doesn’t work out. I just wish he didn’t scare me.

Harry definitely takes his time getting to know his patients and listening to find out what works best for them. With few psychiatrist I have seen, Harry is the most emphatic and helpful.

Harry has done an outstanding job treating my mental health! Any issue or problem I communicate is always heard and appreciated. I appreciate how my recommendations for medication are taken heavily into consideration and how fast he is to respond to my emails, even took me back after I moved back to Oregon. Keep up the great work!

I have been a patient of Dr.Harry's for over 4 years. This last year has been exceptionally rough due to having to change meds. I have found him to be very respectful and sympathetic with what I was going through.I will also say that if I ask him a question and he is not 100& of the answer he will email me later that day which I appreciate. I would definitely recommend him.

Posting anonymously - I am very fortunate to be able to work with Dr. Borsheding. While he is very direct and asked questions I had never even thought of before, I believe this was necessary for my treatment. He doesn’t just advise you on something he tells you why! After about 3 months of working together he has a current treatment plan in place that has allowed me to participate in life in a way I never knew was possible. Meaning, my psych needs have been treated, I feel more whole as a person all around and I’m back on track to being the functional and productive adult I am. He has always been very approachable, timely and consistent. I feel like I can share with him how my medications are helping or hindering me and he is always open to working out a solution. I feel secure going forward under his care with our checkups and would recommend him to anyone!

Harry has always been very understanding, not judgmental, encouraging, and introspective. He has always made me feel safe to speak what I am thinking and helps me see things differently. He was the first psychiatrist I went to when I moved to Bend and I am so glad I got so lucky to have had such good luck!

Doctor Harry Borsheding is an amazing man to talk to. He is quick and efficient. He is through and knows your story but doesn't judge you for having a sick mind. He gives you time to share and make progress at your own pace. He justifies my feelings and thoughts. He offers solutions to my way of thinking. He answered 2 of the most important questions in my life about bi-polar 2 mental illness. I've had mental health counselors since December of 1992. No one has had a straight answer until now for me. From Harry. I was blessed to cross his path.

Harry is amazing! I don’t know what I would have done without him the last year and I am so sad because of insurance reasons I have to find someone else. Harry gets me. There is no fuss no muss with Harry you can just trust him with everything! There is nothing in this world o would be afraid to tell Harry. And it makes me want to cry to know he isn’t part of my team anymore. Go to him! Trust him! You will be glad you did!
