I came to Meagan with extreme pain in my left shoulder into my chest. She is very attentive to what your body is saying and is so knowledgeable about the body and the inner workings! I wasn’t sure what to expect in bodywork, but I can tell you the result was relief from extreme pain and eventually relief from pain entirely after receiving bodywork from her! I believe she constantly is educating herself in the workings of the human body and it shows within her craft! If anyone ever says they have pain, I immediately give them her information!

I found Meagan because she was helping another body worker I know with an injury. Meagan is your massage therapist's massage therapist, the boss level if you will. Portland is full of amazing healers and I worked with Meagan for over a year consistently because the comfort I felt in my body after seeing her stayed. I went to massage school and I am confident that Meagan knows about the many systems of the body and is constantly looking to learn more. There are some things that I find different about Meagan's practice that might help you decide if it's a good fit. 1. She often works through loose fitting clothing. I really enjoyed being able to hop up on the table in a t-shirt and leggings. I found it very relaxing keep my clothing on. She can do massage with draping as well and moves in that direction if she thinks it's going to be beneficial. If you're someone who doesn't want to disrobe for massage, this could be a huge benefit. 2. Even though I went to massage school, I couldn't name the techniques Meagan uses. This is in part because she is trained in many different modalities and is very experienced. Also I usually dip into a nonverbal massage induced state of rest pretty quickly on her table, so I'm not labeling my experience. 3. I trust her but more importantly my body trusts her. Meagan's here to work with you and your body to help things flow and integrate better. She's great with acute and longterm pain or injury. She'll meet your body as it is today with curiosity and kindness. If you're interested in collaborating with a skilled massage therapist to help your body feel great, I highly recommend Meagan.

Beatiful, loving, caring, like a light flitter in your life that lifts you to the heavens and has a profound effect on all that you do in the future. I can not tell you how important it is to find a soul that can handle your body and soul at the same time. Meagan is that soul. Oh, and her dog, MO is the best! Go see her NOW. Don't wait. You need to be on her schedule and stay there. Thank you Meagan, for all the years of friendship, health care and super vibrant communication that was always applicable to me. And us. We made a great team. She'll do the same for you. You're welcome!

Meagan is such an incredible bodyworker and I recommend her wholeheartedly. Her sessions are focused and profound while also being gentle and supportive. Being on her table, you will get an immediate sense of her experience, skill, and expertise. I walk out of her office each time with more freedom and range of motion, less pain, and new insights around longstanding patterns in my body. Her space in the Ford Building is also lovely and relaxing.

I crawled in, and walked out πŸŽ‰ Meagan is a caring, knowledgeable, and experienced healer (with a heart of GOLD). The space is calming and peaceful, which allowed me to really β€œlet go” and feel all the feels (bodywork can be emotional). Meagan has magic hands ✨ With light touch, she communicated with my body in ways I couldn’t… I’d been grinding away on a foam roller for months with little relief. She was able to soothe muscles and my nervous system with just a few light touches. Lovely person, lovely experience, lovely relief. High recommend.

Meagan is a gifted bodyworker✨ I highly recommend her to anyone. My partner and I have been working with Meagan for over a year and she has helped us both bounce back from injuries, as well as creating long-term changes by bringing attention to subtle holding patterns in our bodies. I leave every session feeling balanced, grounded, and like my body is reorganized. Some of the top things I appreciate about Meagan are: -She reads your body like a book. Her her expertise in anatomy is impressive, and she is a humble student who constantly seeks continuing education that she integrates into her unique style. I learn something new about my body every time I see her. -She approaches her work with curiosity and intuition, and holds a holistic view of body systems and how everything is connected. -Her listening skills are top notch - both to what you say when you come in, as as well as keenly tuning into the subtleties of your body during the session. -She creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Going to Meagan is like visiting a bestie who happens to be an expert on your body. -She gives you homework and tools to continue the healing work once you’re off the table, and never pressures you to get more work done than is beneficial to you. I could truly go on forever. If you are looking for an astute, professional, and grounded healer, Meagan is your person! πŸ’• we love Meagan and know you will, too!

Meagan is a whole-istic practitioner that does not shy away from working through the muck of your injuries and trauma in order to help you shed your preconceived notions of existing with chronic pain. She has been the first practitioner not to shy away from allowing somatic trauma release and the relinquising of long established physical habits. Throughout the course of my time seeking treatment through Meagan's healing hands, I have begun to notice a curvature in my spine unfurling that has been a source of chronic pain in my life for the last twelve years. I can't recommend her enough, for her knowledge of anatomical application and treatment is second to none in the Portland Metro. Truly an effervescent soul that facilitates healing in the truest possible ways.

I’ve gone to Meagan a few times now and have only positive things to say about her and her practice. The space she works in is peaceful and beautifully kept, she goes out of her way to ensure safety for herself and the client during these challenging times. Her hands work magic and leave my body feeling rejuvenated after every session. I’ve had chronic pain in my left shoulder for years, but with Meagan’s practice and some take home stretches/instruction it’s feeling so much better. Super grateful for Freed Bodywork!

Meagan is a very skilled practitioner who's anatomy knowledge shows in her work! After each session I have a reduction of pain and tension and feel more integrated throughout my entire body. I highly recommend her if you are recovering from an injury or need some help recovering from the effects of stress in your body.

Meagan is fixing an elbow injury that I have that has been keeping me from doing a normal life. I have tried several therapist in Portland, Madrid and London and she has been the only one that has been able to not only almost fix it (we are still working on my elbow together) but to also reduce the amount of stress and anxiety I suffer from my job and daily responsibilities. I am now happier and much more relaxed overall because of Meagan. I will keep going back to her magic hands for a long time. I also love the fact that she is not fake nice and that she cares about me, and not the tip and the money. That is priceless for me.Thank you Meagan for the marvelous service that you provide to me and many others. Pablo.
