Had my first massage with Julie today- absolutely outstanding! I’ve had a zillion massages but I’d have to say this one was just about the best ever. Julie listened well, and her hands worked some serious magic- I have chronic upper back/shoulder pain and she’s come the closest yet to giving me some relief- highly recommend.
Julie helps so much with my very tense body for these very tense times. She also lets me know what I can do to take care of my rough spots in between visits to help us both. She's the best!
Julie is the absolute best! She has just the right amount of pressure (she's really great about asking) and I always feel so much better after our hour together. In today's world, getting a massage is a must. Julie helps me to re-set and get ready to be the energy our community needs right now. Julie is the first step to my ripple effect!
Julie is an absolutely amazing massage therapist! I’ve been to many massage professionals over the years, and Julie truly stands out. She’s incredibly skilled at identifying and treating aches, pains, and tension spots with a perfect blend of intuition and technique. Every session feels personalized and healing—not just relaxing, but genuinely therapeutic. She has a calm, grounded presence that immediately puts you at ease, and she really listens to what your body needs. Whether you’re dealing with chronic discomfort, stress, or just need a reset, Julie delivers results you can feel. I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for not just a good massage, but a truly gifted and caring practitioner!
Julie is a miracle worker! I have had Migraines that kept me in bed 4-5 days out of the week. They did go away for a couple years and slowly started to come back. I spoke to my PCP and got a referral for Julie based off word of mouth. I can't say I have had a disappointing experience. I see her twice a week and have 1 migraine maybe every two months and that occurs only if I miss an appointment. She understands what she is doing and educates you if you're interested with stretches and sleeping positions ect. I have been weight lifting so my muscles get tight every now and then. Every time a certain part of my body is acting up she sets it straight. She's gentle, kind, caring, understanding, and really wants to make you feel comfortable. I love the environment, music, and essential oils (which she lets you choose). She's everything you would want I a massage therapist. Thank you Julie!
I highly recommend Julie and Caring Portland Massage! I've been seeing Julie regularly for about 3 years. She has been instrumental in my healing process. She goes beyond massage and also provides very valuable recommendations for other types of care as needed. I also love the location. It is a beautiful facility that promotes natural healing.
Julie is amazing! I came in for my first massage and she was so thoughtful and accommodating. She immediately made me feel comfortable and was an excellent listener, providing different options and techniques to help relieve my back and shoulder pain. 10/10 recommend!
I can't recommend Julie enough! I've been receiving massage from her for a few years, and as my body changes, she has many ways of supporting it, including massage for chronic pain. Her studio is cozy and welcoming, and she always considers my comfort and preferences. Julie is down to earth, plays groovy soft music and is a lovely human.
I have been seeing Julie for a year now every two weeks or so, and I can't recommend her services enough! Julie is great at ensuring you are comfortable in the space, through a choice of essential oils, options for supportive pillows, eye covering, and other things to ensure you feel comfortable during your massage. Julie approaches her practice with a trauma-informed lens, and ensures she gets your feedback and understands what you're comfortable with, and what you want. In general, I always appreciate the ways Julie remembers my preferences and what's important to me, and makes me feel welcome, safe, and cared for. Oh, and did I mention that she's an amazing massage therapist?! She uses hot stones, cups, and scraping tools (only if you want them)to aid in your massage. Julie is great at her craft, and I always leave feeling a sense of ease and peace. Book an appointment with Julie already!
Julie was amazing! I can't recommend her enough. This was one of the best massage experiences I have ever had. Julie was attentive to my specific needs, checked in with my comfort level repeatedly and made me feel like I was in control of my experience at all times. This was not a run of the mill, generic sequence massage; her approach was individual, specific, knowledgeable and nurturing. She even followed up with an email with resources to help my specific issues! Most certainly a unique and wonderful professional. I will definitely be back and also be referring my friends!
