As a fellow therapist and colleague — Anne and I both taught at Lewis & Clark — I'm happy to refer clients to Beyond Eating Recovery. Anne has built something genuinely rare: a team that brings clinical rigor and a truly weight-neutral, HAES-informed approach to eating disorder treatment. In a field where lip service to body positivity is common but actual practice often lags, Beyond Eating Recovery walks the talk. Her book, If Your Hunger Could Talk, reflects the same philosophy that runs through her whole practice. I recommend them without reservation to anyone seeking compassionate, evidence-based care.
Okay therapist but horrible experience with billing. They received double payment for same service and never offered to refund me the amount I was charged and didn’t end up owing after my insurance was properly billed (aka insurance fraud). Michelle Commons was clearly frustrated, couldn’t maintain professionalism and was yelling at me on the phone. Do not recommend.
