This place is wonderful. They are truly invested in their clients, who can be difficult to be deal with at times, and in an at times stigmatized yet effective form of treatment. They have no doubt saved lives and made a difference in the midst of an overwhelming public health crisis in the form of an opioid epidemic. God bless this place and their staff, as well as those they treat every day. God be with them. Guide them in their recovery, and as facilitators of that recovery.
I am a strong advocate for the pre-pour system. It is a positive for everyone at the CTC, and is something that I thought should have been implemented a long time ago. Thank you for trying it out and I hope the experiment is a success that will see pre-pours continue into the future.
First of all it's not 24hrs it's opened from 5:30 am-11:30am and you have to be there before 11:30am that's when they do last dosing. Plus the doors close at 11:30am. Sometimes he will keep the door open for 4 minutes after if the busses are running late. Just be there before 11:30am and you'll be fine. So far I've been going here for 7 months now and I really like my counselor Genkai, he's been really helpful and he's easy to talk to. The only thing I don't like is the groups, they are on the phone or you can go to the in person one at 9:30 there's one a day. The groups aren't for me, I'm not saying it won't help you. You have to try it out before you decide. Now that I've been here for 7 months I'm deciding that I want to go a different route all together and try the shot ( I believe it's a Suboxone) I wouldn't have to worry about coming everyday only once a month. Wish me luck π€πΌ
After moving here from California I didn't think that this place would be of any help. I was blessed with an amazing counselor...not gonna mention names but they know who they are. There are, of course some horrible people that lurk around. Patients and employees alike. So stay in your lane , you know? I can say that the signing up process was relatively quick and easy. I wish that we could have dye free medication.
I've been to almost every methadone clinic in Portland even the other CTC that's downtown and coda all within the past few months switching from one to the next and finally I'm settled I really am happy with all the employees who are very good and very respectful and patient with all the clients and I'm sure that anyone reading this knows how some of the people can be to make a person's jub way harder then it needs to be for them so I really appreciate the way everyone handles themselves with those specific individuals I'm sorry for what you all are putting thru and deal with I understand that a lot of people are sick and all have there own individual needs whether it be mental health, drug induced, or just flat out rude and disrespectful I'm just very grateful that everyone does the best that they can to make this clinic run as smooth and as best as possible and thank you to the wonderful doctors and nurses for also taking your time to treat each and everyone one of our needs. Thank you very much!
Idk why it says 24hrs because they open at 5:30am and close at 11:30am, I like this place, my counselor Genkai is awesome, he's doing a fantastic job. Keep up the good work. The groups that we have to do are ok, I don't like how many groups you have to do, it's good if it helps people stay sober. The nurse's there are also nice.
After reading the reviews I am glad I missed my appointment. It seems this clinic got worst this last year just like the one downtown. The one downtown I was never in and out. My schedule at work made it hard for me to go so I stopped. I don't know what changed in these clinics that made it worst. I don't want to be just a number and I want a counselor that cares . The phone groups are ridiculous. They need to just keep clients that really want recovery. Then they wouldn't have so many people and then maybe the counselors would stay and nurses. I'm sorry but its the patients that scare off the nurses and counselors. Anyways whatever there doing at these clinics thats different then years ago. Its not making ur clinic better . All your doing is helping the ones that don't want recovery with there drug fix. People like me that want to get better can't cause its those people that keep me from not going .
Itβs an OK place. Just keep to yourself go and get your meds & keep it pushing. Donβt hang around because the people hanging around are not doing anything beneficial. The pictures that they have here are not the pictures of the Facility on 2600 SE Belmont. I wonder what facility these pictures are from.
First off, those pictures aren't from the facility at all. Not one. Their walls are blue .They lied to me and my husband every step of the way. They originally told us intake would take an hour and it took 3. My husband and I do Uber and didn't want to dose at close to 12pm because it's a new medication and we don't know how it's gonna react with us. One of the people lies to my husband to try and pressure him into taking his dose and says that I told them I would be dosing. I never said that, and never planned to dose first day. The doctor was also insanely condescending when my husband mentioned that we had to work today and told him to "just do it later". Certain hours are dead, certain hours make more money. We have a car payment due and just can't afford to miss major hot time. There were multiple issues with how my counselor Ashley filled out my account so I kept getting blue screens, was told I had to do orientation on 3 separate occasions even though I wasn't supposed to do it until Saturday, and then that she hadn't finished my intake. The front desk told me we'd only be back there for 3 minutes but as soon as I heard that my intake wasn't done after spending 3 hours the day before doing it,I left. They treat you like a child, they lie about everything, and they're bulldozers. There's been situations where people smoke fentanyl inside the facility . And on my intake day someone was smoking weed Inside the building. The only nice people there are the young blonde nurse with glasses(she let me squeeze this little shark ball thing while I had my TB test bc I'm afraid of needles and gave me a stamp after) and Michelle the counselor.
If you want to waste 3 hours of your day, everyday, come here. They flag you if you miss one day, flag tou if you have one dirty test. I test positive for alcohol my first test, now i have to breathlyze every day. The line to dose is always long. My service dog got excited when my husband had his service with him. Now were told we cant bring our service dogs. Glad this place works for some people. But i came from a far better, smoother run clinic in Ca. As of 10-18-23 i changed clinics to great circle recovery center on 82nd and I LOVE IT! PROFESSIONAL, EFFICIENT,Great follow through with resources.
