When I first met Rhian I was lost. I had been trying to battle my demons alone for many years and my attempts had been totally unsuccessful causing more damage to myself and the people around me. My views on self were completely distorted and I was unsure of who I was and what I wanted from life. Rhian offered me a safe space to explore my feelings and to begin to discover myself in an environment which was completely free from judgement. This allowed me to open up and to become vulnerable and honest. For the first time in my life, I felt heard and understood. I had never realised how important this would be. I felt empowered by this and with Rhian’s support, I gained a sense of self. I began to learn how to express myself in a healthy way which wasn’t detrimental to either myself or others. Through the work we did together, I learned so much about myself and I found a level of acceptance of ‘me’. I have been able to implement some crucial changes to my life and am now in a position where I have my own goals and ambitions. Rhian’s understanding, support and encouragement has helped me to overcome my insecurities and to chase after my dreams and I will be forever grateful for this.
