πͺ½π€β€οΈ Had the most life changing and beautiful experience here at Blythe Ward at Cygnet Joyce Parker Hospital! I cannot express fully my gratitude and love for all the genuine, caring and hard working staff at this hospital. They bring such blessings to all patients and I couldnβt recommend a better place for recovery for all those in critical or short term need πͺ½π€β€οΈ
I would love to say a lot but I will try to be concise. The support workers are extremely helpful and the values cygnet preaches are actually a reality. Thankful for the love and support. Love you all.
I was on pixie from December 2021 to November 2022. This was the most traumatic period of my life, I now have diagnosed PTSD from my stay on pixie ward and the abuse and neglect I witnessed and ensured. Patients restraining other patients because staff couldn't care less that we were hurting ourselves. Patients left in dirty pads when going through psychosis, but being on 2:1. A patient being locked in LTS for months whilst looking for another hospital, with very limited time out of there. Blood stains left on walls and floors. Patients made to clean up their incidents. I was restrained incorrectly on numerous occasions. Once, I had my shoulder dislocated in a restraint by untrained staff using outdated restraint methods (MAPA). Patients who were known for eating disorders, not adequately supported during meal times. Locked door policies not followed through, leaving patients to have incidents. The ward was often really warm, or really cold. Never balanced. Post-incident procedures not followed through. Such as having our neuro OBS and vitals checked, following serious, and sometimes, life-threatening incidents. Safe to say, my time on Pixie ward was atrocious and the fact that this hospital has been allowed to rebrand itself 3 times in 6 years is appalling and a massive screw-up by CQC.
I have been here for the past few months i come into hospital very unwell and the doctor and staff have got me well and I am in a better place mentally and physically and I would like to thank them for all they've done for me plus the OT staff and the advicuts are amazing and I would like to thank them all for the help and support especially ami and the staff they work with...
My stay on beck wars was lovely due to the lovely stuff I felt very comfortable whilst I was there and would like to show appreciation to all the staff from top to bottom and wish them the best
Beck ward staff are good, they helped and cared for me, talked to me when I needed it. I appreciate the managers, all the nurses, all the doctors, all the psychology, and all the support staff. You have been good. to me. ALL sincerely from Andrew.
My son is currently on Beck Ward, he has been extremely unwell and has complex needs. The last fifteen years i have lost count of the number of hospitals he has been admitted to. My experience ( and obviously his ) has been varied some good some less so, except for his first admission none have been terrible. This is the BEST hospital , the staff are compassionate and caring. I cannot speak highly enough about them . The patience shown with him is unreal. Thank you all so much.
Beck ward staff have been brilliant in supporting me. The ward manager always had time for me and the nurses and support workers have done a great job. Wishing the hospital all the best as I move on
