My son, who has a documented cognitive disability and receives full SSA/SSI disability benefits, was a patient here around 2015. As his mother and primary caregiver, I repeatedly raised concerns that the antipsychotic medication he was prescribed was NOT WORKING and that he was not at his "baseline." My concerns were repeatedly dismissed as if I, his own mother, does not know his baseline!! He gained over 100 pounds on this medication with no therapeutic benefit. I was NEVER informed that cardiac complications were a KNOWN RISK of this drug class. The weight gain went unaddressed, unmonitored, and uncorrected for years. The direct result is that my son developed CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE. He is in his early 30s. If your loved one cannot fully advocate for themselves, and you are raising concerns that are being ignored -- please document everything and seek a second opinion immediately. Caregivers have the most longitudinal data on their loved one. These worthless "professionals" think they know better than you!
Very great place to go Very understand staff here .
I have been with Sound for over 2 years now, and have the best Dr. (Erinn) and best Counselor/Therapist (Kiara) ever! I am forever grateful to have such great people on my side and in my life. The facility itself does great services for the low income, homeless, addicted communities and also serves hot cooked breakfast and lunch daily. Among many other services they provide, this place does alot of good for people wanting and looking for resources. The area isn't that bad, it's Downtown/Belltown, check out the services before letting the area scare you away.
They do their best with what they have
