Cate the director was great.outside of that the place sucked.inconsistent moods with staff, staff sleeping on the job,and too much PORK.#ABC
Do not go to this rehab 100% they do not care about there patients some of the group instructors are good but outside of the 4 hours of group a day this place is a living std fest filled with staff that only care about themself the clinical director has been replaced over 3 times and I am in the process of a law suit against them because I got assaulted in there and not a single thing happened to the situation they ended up finding a vape on me that I was covering for someone who let me hit there's and then kicked me out and after words kicked him out to even tho he was caught with nothing and I took the blame 100% if ur in this place mind ur business talk to no one and leave when you graduate if you can avoid it then go somewhere else anywhere but this place.
I graduated the 28 day program on June 2nd, 2025. This was the best thing I have ever done for myself and everyone here is dedicated, caring and beyond helpful. I had a wonderful group of community members which made this experience so great. You get out of this what you put in so don't believe any of these nasty reviews. Also the food is AMAZING. My counselor Jamie was top notch. She focused my sessions and homework on who I am individually. She didn't just go off of a document and doled out boilerplate information. She took the time to curate something special just for me, that she knew would speak to my experience. She went out of her way to make sure that I was being heard and understood and provided support that I never felt in active addiction. The floor staff here are so wonderful and caring! Rosa is a gift from the heavens to mankind and always made sure that everyone had everything they needed. She cares deeply about everyone who goes through that program. She made me feel special and loved in a point in my life where I couldn't do that for myself. She is a true blue good person and I am so thankful to have had my time with her. I love her so much and would take a bullet for her! Joselyn is the sweetest human being on earth. She takes time out of her day to make sure you are okay and offer her help should you need anything. She's also relatable and kind and never made you feel like a patient. She treated you with respect and warmth. Jen is a laugh riot and could make our whole group erupt into laughter even after a particularly heavy or emotional class or group session. She also cares so deeply for everyone's recovery and makes you feel safe. She made me cry during my graduation because she was so proud of me. Angie was our mom. She maintained order but also went out of her way to make you feel welcome, that all of your needs were met and that you didn't go without. She was also HILARIOUS and was able to diffuse any situation with a smile and a joke. Megan the Discharge Coordinator is a true force of nature. She is a self described bull dog and fights tooth and nail every day to make sure everyone has housing, funding and a safe place to go post recovery. I saw her come in on her days off several times just to help a single person. There is a reason Turning Point has 100% placement and that is Megan. Taryn is my favorite person on earth and deserves an award. She helped me so immensely with my recovery. Taryn taught me the ins and outs of meetings and how to prepare for life once outside the treatment bubble. She helped me find housing and meetings near me and I can't thank her enough for her dedication and support. She keeps everyone laughing and in a good mood and is such a kind positive spirit that can make you feel loved and cared about even in your darkest of times. Thank you so much Taryn! Love her so so much! Sea MarTurning Point is an amazing program because it is run with a level respect and dignity for all who attend. So often in the mental health or medical field there is a huge disconnect between staff and clients. Where some view people in recovery as just work or something that they have to deal with in their job. Not at all true for Turning Point. They are involved, they are dedicated and they truly care about everyone that comes through there. You will never feel like a burden or patient which is so important as my own view of myself going into treatment was awful. If you are looking for a treatment program look no further.
My mom is currently in here. the staff and people are mean, and tease her for having accidents because she was going through withdrawals. They also don’t request a refill on her saboxon until she is out and causes her to be sick and have withdrawals because they make her go days without it, when she does get her meds they give her more then the dose she’s suppose to have which also causes her to be in constant pain and Sickness. This treatment center is not good for anyone trying to get better from addiction. It adds more pain and stress rather than helping. The staff is rude and has hung up on me every time I have asked to speak with a Manager. At this point I’m lost on what to do with this situation. My mom has also told Me they allow their patients to vape and one girl told her she has meth in her vape and they do nothing about it or any other situation.
This place is given a 5 star rating by the staff that work there don’t be fooled. I had the worst experience ever and was discharged a week early for behavioral issues/rule violation but was never told the specific rule I had violated. Why because I didn’t violate any rule the counselors who have minimal qualifications btw just didn’t like my cheerful positive attitude and took it as me being sarcastic and not being serious. What’s serious is peoples lives are at risk that’s what’s serious. Robert is the only person who has a passion for his job the rest of the staff and counselors work there to collect a paycheck.
I went there twice, in 2015 and 2017. I have no regrets by either experience regardless of how different those experiences where. The staff is caring and will help you as long as you are helping yourself. They will help you with your needs with a great set of classes, medical care, exercise, and other activities. BUT, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO MAKES IT. They provide you the tools to deal with whatever you are struggling with. And can become life friends with. Thank you Sea Mar for helping me with my PTSD/addiction
I avoided going to this treatment center for two years. I wanted to go to a nicer treatment center. One that i had been to before and was comfortable going to. I had a bed date set for mid September and had every intention on not going .. Not yet. Not until i got arrested on warrants and a pending new charge. Turning point worked with my lawyer in jail and behind the scenes to make sure i still had my bed date. They even let me come in a week later becauase i was in jail. I was granted a temporary release order to attend a 30 day inpatent program there. I had no intentions on staying, no intentions on getting better and no intentions on changing my life. But God had a different plan for me. One that i couldn't see or believe until i fully surrendered. Turning Point changed my life. As a 28 year old female who has struggled with addiction for almost 15 years, as well as bulimia and mental disorders, i was pretty helpless. Ive been to inpatient treatment centers and outpatient centers on and off since i was 17. No place has ever seemed to care about me and love me the way i needed lt. I came in so broken and completely defeated. I wanted to die. I didnt see the point. It wasnt just the drug and alcohol addiction they addressed. It was my personal and family relationships, codepency, my eating and hoarding obsession which not many knew about. Turning Point hasnt just changed my thinking or eating habits, Turning Point changed and saved my life. I got reintroduced to NA and AA in a way i haf never experienced before. I started to listen and prayed for God to open my eyes and my heart to this program. And he did. I got to experience a spiritual awakening i had never felt and truly surrendered my will and my life over to the care of God as i understand him. I havent been the same. I graduated their program and had to turn myself in right after discharge. I was then released from jail about 5 days later, the pending charge against me was dropped, my housing came through, i was blessed with a sponsor i met through one of the H&I presentations that i get to talk to and experience life with every day, no more warrants, and no more court dates. God is doing for me what i could not do for myself. I went from a hopeless dope feind to a dopeless hope fiend. Never give up. A huge THANK YOU to Marco, Linette, Carol, Robert, Josh, Rafi, Jessica, Griselda, Romeo and all of the SeaMar staff for making my experience there one to talk about. Definitely would chose this treatment over any others. Thank you again!! Love always Rachel
I graduated this treatment center January 24th of 2018 and I am proud to say I have almost 14 months clean. My experience there was actually really good. It gave me a safe place to be in my early walk in sobriety. I also really loved how it is a 12 step based Recovery Center. Every night of the week there was a meeting either with volunteers coming in to share with us or we would just have one as a house. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful and my counselor bill was amazing. I would recommend this place I would recommend this place to anyone.
I learned a lot from Seamar, I absolutely loved my councilor Robert. Today I have over nine months because of your program, and I am truly thankful for beginning my recovery at this treatment center. All of the staff were very kind and helpful and it was so great that we got to go on outings and that the staff took us for walks outside the facility. The main focus for their program is to help recovering addicts like myself....
I graduated from Turning Point on July 5th 2017. It was my first time going to treatment in 15 years of active addiction. I stayed for an extended period of 45 days, got out, never looked back. I am very involved in a self help group and am now chairman for Hospitals and Institutions of South King County. I go to many treatment facilities to share my story with other addicts. I have seen them all in the area and Seamar Turning Point is a one of the winners. The staff cares about the clients, and if you want to recover you will. If your not ready to recover it matters not where you go to treatment. My journey started at Seamar Turning Point, and I am happy to say that.
