Nancy helped me get through multiple traumas and then hastily ended therapy via an email talking about out of state therapy concerns (I'm on the road) and disclosing in the same email (for the first time) she was speaking to a mentor about our sessions (to what degree I don't know). Nancy will work with you financially and invest in you until a point it seems... A seasoned therapist ought to know enough not to retraumatize clients and have some sort of closure even if the client's location has become an issue. One email and done after over two years of relationship building. No response. Still the nontalk therapy and EMDR was helpful. The talk therapy again feels somewhat unproductive though.
I saw Nancy four years ago for relationship counseling and I’m so scarred from that experience it’s taken me this long to seek therapy again. Nancy showed strong favoritism towards my partner, didn’t care to learn as much about my background as she did his, didn’t call out his aggressive behavior in sessions, and allowed my partner to misdiagnose me (a very dangerous manipulation). Nancy disregarded a private email I sent her with concerns regarding this obvious favoritism and that she didn’t acknowledge my partner screaming at me and running out during a session. Although his manipulative behavior is not her fault, the apparent triangulation he was using therapy sessions for was encouraged by her unhelpful methodology. I wouldn’t advise anyone seek help from Nancy. She complicated and made a very abusive situation worse.
