I had a misunderstanding with the front-desk that led to an unfortunate interaction. I wish it wasn't the case but I can't recommend them.
Dr Martini helped me through a difficult time in my life. Recommend highly. Also Vanessa is very helpful and kind.
Do not go to this guy if you have any sort of addiction issues!!! He knew I was in recovery and kept pushing Xanax. He also had me on 40 mg of adderall. Eventually when i caved into his recommendations I spiraled into a relapse that took me so low that it was over 6 months before I could get myself out of it and back on track to recovery. When I asked him for help because I had relapsed he wouldn’t work with me anymore. I lost 40 pounds and looked like a skeleton. He doesn’t care and from my experience I’d have to say he isn’t in this for helping people.
I have been seeing Dr. Martini for 5+ years now, and he and his office staff, Vanessa, are some of the best healthcare professionals I've ever been lucky enough to find - and I've seen several before. They are caring, invested in their patients' well-being, promptly responsive to any questions or concerns, and go above and beyond to ensure that they provide the best care possible, even when circumstances outside of their control (such as country-wide medication shortages or difficult pharmacy staff) hinder them. I could not recommend this practice and their care more highly.
Dr. Martini is the most knowledgeable, personable, and experienced psychiatrist that I have ever encountered. He does not simply prescribe medications but actually listens. His approach to therapy is collaborative, in that he allows his clients to make choices about their therapy along with him. Vanessa his office manager, is so easy to talk to and always makes sure everything goes smoothly.
I'm still fairly new to this area of medical and psychiatric treatment, combining specialties to cope with a lifelong, pervasive biological issue like ADHD. It takes retraining and clearing up years of misunderstandings and bad programming, and untangling thinking patterns that only make the issues worse. Dr. Martini is helping with the massive chaos, not by giving me all the answers, but helping me to start untangling my own thinking. Not an easy task but one he's undertaking with patience and skill. And Vanessa is always friendly, helpful and extremely quick in resolving sudden, unexpected problems.
I have been a patient of Dr. Martini's for a while and I feel heard, supported and valued as a patient of his. He seems to be a no nonsense kind of Dr whom tell's it like it is yet helps one through those tough realities. I'm grateful to have found this Dr. and his incredible assistant Vanessa whom is incredibly fast, no nonsense yet has a sense of humor. They make a great medical team!
Dr. M is the man! Takes time to explain how different medications work and why some do not. Totally takes enough time to go over all your questions - and the first few appointments I had a lot. Vanessa is super nice and always responds right away - weather it is an email or voicemail. Definitely recommend him if you are having any issues from anxiety, depression or ADHD.
Wonderful experience! I've struggled on and off with work-related stress and anxiety, and Dr. Martini was able to help me immensely. He also helped me realize that anxiety is a normal part of life--not a failing on my part. Vanessa is also a totally amazing office manager--she was always able to accommodate my appointment requests, and she remembered my preferences. I can't recommend this place enough!
UPDATED 8/26/14: I've been seeing him for over a year now and I gotta say I am still very impressed. Being a healthcare professional myself I know a good provider when I see one and Dr. Martini is one of the good ones. The hardest thing I had to do was ask for and get help. A colleague of mine recommended Dr. Martini and I am glad they did. I've been to see him about five or more times and have never had to wait more then a few min and his staff is professional yet fun (how healthcare staff should be).
