As a licensed psychologist in Seattle, there are occasions when referring to other providers for couples therapy is the most appropriate course of action. Jessa is my go-to person for couples who are struggling with sexual intimacy. When I send couples to Jessa, I know they will be in good hands. Jessa is sharp, skilled, and insightful. So glad to have Jessa as a resource in our community. Highly recommend!
I highly recommend Jessa. Jessa is the President of my local BNI Chapter, and I have experienced first hand her professionalism, ability to lead, and most importantly ability to communicate clearly. As a counselor these are crucial skills, and I have no doubt that anyone would be satisfied working with Jessa.
I want to echo what most reviewers have stated here. I am not a client of Jessa's but a friend/business associate. Around her as often as I am, I have gained a lot of insight into how she works to repair a relationship. And her sense of humor and warmth is evident from the moment you meet her. Which makes a 1 star review all the more baffling. Yes, do you homework when searching for a counselor, but please do include Jessa in the mix!
I referred some of my best friends to Jessa, who were having some sexual issues in an otherwise great relationship. They have been working with her and are very, very happy. Jessa's approach is down to earth and practical, and she takes all the weirdness out of dealing with this very sensitive area of relationships. Highly recommended.
Having been brought up in an extremely conservative household, I've always had a great degree of difficulty expressing myself in the language of love and intimacy. This has led to more than my fair share of communication problems to overcome in my relationship with my wife. Thanks to Jessa's compassionate care, prescient advice, and well-researched / evidenced based procedures, we're enjoying new stratospheres of mutual attraction. As good as this review is, I can assure you I am under-selling her amazing abilities. If you are open to it, Jessa will absolutely arm you with the tools you need to take your life and relationship to new and exciting-uncharted territory. BTW -- do you know how FEW therapists of her nature there are in the world? Do you realize how LUCKY we are to have her here in Seattle?! My advice to you -- don't delay! Do it NOW :)
Jessa Zimmerman has extensive training in sex therapy and couples counseling, her national certification as a sex therapist is training few people in the country have.
