I’ve been seeing Dr. Grant for over 3 years. He’s helped me tremendously. My partner and friends say they have seen tremendous growth on my part and I have to give a lot of credit to Dr. Grant. He will have no problem calling you out if he thinks you’re making a mistake. I found his directness helpful. It also helped build trust with me. Whenever I am being hard on myself I can trust when he tells me that I need to be kind to myself or that something isn’t my fault; because I know he doesn’t pull punches. I’ll be honest, if blunt and direct feedback is not for you then Dr. Grant might not be the best fit. It’s not a criticism on the patient. I do think some people do better with a softer touch. Side note: Another reviewer called him a psychologist. He’s not… he’s a medically trained psychiatrist with a medical degree (MD) from Michigan State. I found it hard to find a psychiatrist that does talk therapy so if that’s important to you, Dr. Grant could be a great option.
He was not really listening to me, interrupted me multiple times and said that it was mainly my fault. He is pretty assertive but he can victim blame a lot. I would try to stay away if you do not need “immediate” help from him. Just my experience. People can differ.
Dr Grant seems knowledgeable and compassionate. This is the beginning of my treatment, but I am hopeful.
Claims to be an expert on vaccines and is only a psychologist. Calls parents ignorant for actually doing their own research. When you are a MD of pediatrics than you can lecture parents on the right to choose for their child. You dont even live in our state!! Mind your own business!!!
