Fairyslipper Massage is a gem and Lyra is the best massage therapist I have ever been to! I've been to so many places over the years and I've never experienced a massage quite like the ones that Lyra provides. After a quick consultation, Lyra will focus on spots that you're having issues with while making sure that you're comfortable during the process. My sessions have never been rushed and the space is cozy and relaxing. I always leave feeling refreshed and really feel the benefits of the massage days after. I've been visiting consistently since moving to Seattle and I look forward to every visit.

I highly recommend fairyslipper massage! lyra is very skilled and relieved a lot of the pain I have in my back and shoulder from old injuries. she has a very calming presence and made me feel very comfortable, especially since it was my first time having any bodywork done and didn’t know what to expect.

Lyra was incredibly helpful with my knee pain and helped me relax. I have chronic pain and she was gentle yet effective with her massage. A clearly skilled and caring massage therapist 10/10

Lyra was both very skilled and knowledgable while being attentive to my needs. She created such a safe and welcoming environment. For personal reasons, I had never been to a massage therapist before, but I felt completely safe and comfortable for the entire session. She was really thoughtful in addressing my needs and she was attentive to my comfort. I lift weights a lot and have a combination of tension from stress and soreness from exercise, and she really had the skills and strength to make my shoulders feel more relaxed than they've felt in months. I've been struggling with sleeping well since a number of big changes in my life and getting massaged by her was the most useful thing I've found yet to help me with the stress that was preventing me from sleeping well.

Lyra Earthbound completes the massages with exceptional focus and attention to detail. I have a serious injury in one of my ankles, and I have never worried that Lyra would hurt me or cause harm. In fact, each time after she works on my ankle, the foot is in better alignment and I walk with greater ease and better balance.

Lyra is such an incredible body worker with a healing touch. I came to her after injuring myself while training for a powerlifting meet, and one massage with her took my pain down an incredible amount. Lyra is extremely intuitive, and found knots and tension I wasn’t even aware of until she started working on me. Her intake is thorough and really made me feel listened to and taken care of. Lyra’s space and energy is very calming and instantly put me at ease . I can’t recommend her enough for bodywork, she really is so talented.

Lyra has such a beautiful practice, both physically and energetically. Upon entering her office the environment is so soothing and feels so safe. Her massages are top notch. I am a dancer and work with my body extensively, so having a practitioner who can find my knots and work them out means the world to me. I would recommend her to anybody who is looking for an effective and transformative massage experience.

Lyra is absolutely magical. I was in dire need of a massage and body work and Lyra saved the day. Her work made me cry (in the best way) after helping me release the tension I had been holding in my body. Seriously worth every penny. Lyra cultivates a very safe and welcoming space for your appointment and I can’t wait to go back. Absolute life saver.

Lyra is a profoundly inclusive and skilled massage therapist who clearly loves the healing work she does. Other reviewers used the words "subtle," "precise," and "intuitive" to describe Lyra's style, and I really can't say it better. Her understanding of the body and how it carries tension and pain means that the massage might feel somewhat gentle in the moment, but upon standing up, the problem areas she worked on just feel... quietly, but massively, better. It's kind of shocking the first time (as so many of us equate "good" massage to rigorous/borderline-painful massage), and then it's just low-key magical. My trans partner has been going to Lyra for years and talked so much about what a welcoming and safe environment Lyra created (and the quality of the massages!) that I signed up with her too. As a queer fat lady, I am delighted to say that I've never felt so welcome or comfortable at a massage practice. When booking my first appointment, I mentioned that I was plus size, and when I arrived, Lyra had prepped the table just so with side bolsters and extra support for my chest. She's incredibly respectful, drapes in a way that's never uncomfortable, and has never failed to treat me with the same tranquil professionalism that I'm sure she offers to all clients. I'm now in my second year of seeing Lyra, and I've successfully recommended at least three people who've had great repeat experiences. Her new-ish private practice space is peaceful and charming, with a HEPA filter running in the background and climate control to keep the temperature just right. (She also does house calls for people with mobility/accessibility considerations! You truly love to see it!) As you can see by my profile, I truly never write reviews — please take this novel of a review as a sign of how much joy I take in recommending Fairyslipper Massage to everyone, but especially to queer, trans, and plus-size folks.
