This Dr belittled my daughter. My daughter has issues with body image, and informed me that the Dr’s tone led her to tears. I’m highly disappointed because mental health should be an issue that psychiatrists treat with respect. This one clearly doesn’t.

I had a really good experience with Dr. Gupta. He was friendly, chatty, funny, and most importantly, listened to me. He didn't doubt me or my experiences, and it was really fun and easy to talk to him. I also learned a lot when talking to him.

His office was kind and quick, I felt that Dr. Gupta really listened to me and got me on track.

His clinic was skeptical to see my mother because she didn't have insurance they didn't accept and I looked the nurse and informed them that's not a problem because we'd be paying out of pocket anyway. It was like they didn't want to help us. Dr. Shyam Gupta was very nice and professional with helping my mother in the initial consultation and to be honest, he was one of the only doctors to genuinely seem to care and understand my mother's and my situation. After 3 months passed, my mother was due for a follow up in November but I could not take her as I was out of the country. There must have been some mix up in the clinic as they suggested my was a no-show, twice! I only found this out after calling in this past week and being denied the ability to schedule the follow-up appointment for my mother. The clinic's receptionist (Lauren) was not helpful (but not rude) in trying to understand our situation. She claimed that because of a clinic policy of 2 no-shows, they could no longer see my mother. I argued that we never had any no-shows and that the previous November date was never confirmed by me or my mother since I would be out of the country and no one would be able to take her in. Simply put, they would no longer help my mother and suggested I talk to insurance to find another doctor for my mother. And as for her medication, she suggested I ask my mother's PCP to extend the prescription. Really just felt like they didn't care or want to care, didn't help or want to help... all for a no-show policy which we never broke. My mother needs help and we rely on doctors like Dr. Gupta all the time. I make changes to my schedule to accommodate any and every opportunity to meet with doctors to help my mother. In this case, I was left with a sour taste with Dr. Gupta and his clinic. They don't really care about you. Simple as that.
