★★★★★★★★★★Gabriel BlantonMar 2023

Dr. Michael J. Schrift was substantially late to my new patient appointment. When he did finally arrive he entered the visitation room without greeting me and declared he did not know why I was there and that he couldn't help me. I pointed out that he didn't know me and that what he considered facts were perhaps incorrect. The visit continued with him remaining combative, not asking me a single question, and eventually indicating he would treat me but only if I accepted his course of nearly toxic doses of lithium. I was there for neuropsychiatry, not his self-aggrandizing abuse. Of course, his notes falsely attested that he was present for pertinent aspects of my history, which I guess in his view are none. I see that he also holds a professorship nearby. It's a shame that a doctor as uninterested in patient care continues to practice let alone teach. I hope his students see him only as an example of who to not become. Edit: Read the 1 star reviews on Healthgrades. They are accurate.
