Tom Allan Centre — Counsellor in Glasgow, Scotland

I was in a lot of distress and the councilor is a young girl called Abigail and she was repressing me instead of helping me and my intuition tells me that she never came across with a situation like mine, so didn't know what to do and wanted to call the emergency services and the police. It's clearly that she doesn't have experience enough to deal with these kind of situations. I think i'm not coming back there since this was my 3rd session and on the second session we spent the whole session meditating, so it was a waist of session and i need to talk not to meditate and the reason i'm going to therapy is to talk about my issues not to meditate. Otherwise i would go to meditation classes 😒 If i could i would give 0 stars!!!

My experience was definitely not great, although I am not really aiming it at the company, company seemed good. My counsellor patricia was more of the problem. The problem I had was she went to far with what I was saying and refused to let me leave or speak to my parents. I would give it 0 stars but unfortunately you can't do that.

I have had an excellent experience with the Tom Allan Centre. John has helped me through some difficult experiences caused by a life-threatening (and life-changing) physical accident then the aftermath of dealing with all the pain, the mental effects of having to live with that and learning to accept it. The sessions have also been used to share good news and celebrate victories and personal achievements, no matter how small. Can't thank John and the centre enough and would definitely recommend to anyone needing someone to listen when they are struggling and to help them get back on track.

Brilliant place for any body struggling with mental health problems,I was blessed to get a brilliant psychologist in Lucy.. thanks very much,and keep up the good work.!!

Can not speak highly enough of my experience,and attentive care and attention from the lovely lady I worked with,each,visit Just turned out to be the best thing I've done the staff are lovely n welcoming Lucy whom I worked with through a lot of pain lingering from past years,with this attentive lady whom I clicked with right away she had great people skills,she,was a good listener n always gave me advice n a way to work through my dark thoughts in a safe n comfortable environment thanxs so much Lucy and all the staff at this center yous are amazing people who work hard n I cant thank this woman n center enough I'll miss my weekly sessions but I'm moving on with hope in my heart n not hurt n pain anymore so thanxs again especially to Lucy for all her hard work n all she has done for me n once again it's an amazing place to go I'm content n happy again my smiles back through this place .if anyone is thinking of going take the opportunity n grasp it with both hands this place has saved me and my life.😘😘😘

My experience of this place was awful. For supposedly being a place coming from a religious background. I found the management evil. They knew I was very ill with depression and anxiety but they more or less shut the door in my face when I asked them for help. I would never go back to this place, they pretend to care to the outside world, but I know they really don't care at all. Sadly, they hide behind religion, going there was enough to put me off religion for life. No, the management were very uncaring and unsympathetic towards me, I wrote a letter to Annie Goldie but she was probably the worse out of them all. So, I would advise people to go elsewhere. I wouldn't donate a penny to the Tom Allan Centre. I stand by everything I've said in this review, I was treated very badly by the management.
