Where do I start.. absolutely first class treatment at The Dawn Practice. There are so many places out there and it can be so confusing. I highlight recommend The Dawn Practice to anyone who may require help. Jennifer Robertson dealt with us from first interview until final report. Jennifer was incredibly knowledgeable and understood our concerns that we had with our son. The report was incredibly in depth and recommendations to help our son now and in future. Cannot recommend them enough. Thank you The Dawn Practice and Jennifer for being amazing with our son and for all your help.

I cannot rate the Dawn Practise highly enough. Our previous experience at CAMHS was not good and we were essentially blamed for our parenting (despite having three other, completely normal and successful children). My initial appointment was the first time I really felt heard and I felt my son was really seen. In the end we did get an NHS diagnosis of autism for our son but it was the Dawn Practise in our initial meeting which saw all the subtle indicators even I had missed which gave me the heart to continue. If we had not had a diagnosis with the NHS we would have definitely have gone through the assessment process with Dawn and, most importantly, I know where to go for help where they know exactly what they’re doing. Thank you Claire, at Dawn!

I would highly recommend The Dawn Practice to anyone struggling with their mental health. The care I’ve received has been incredibly compassionate and supportive. Investing in my mental health through this practice has truly paid dividends. I feel more grounded and better equipped to navigate challenges. I also encouraged my partner to attend, and they now go to the Bearsden location. We’ve both had such positive experiences. Receiving such quality care has made a meaningful difference to our wellbeing, both individually and together.

Having made the decision, at the age of 53, to investigate issues throughout my years, I was directed to this Practice by a trusted health professional. I was made to feel comfortable and welcome from my initial online contact, phone call, assessments and then through a diagnosis of combined Autism and ADHD. My family was also included in the process and they were made to feel comfortable throughout the process too. Following my diagnosis and feeling I needed further support to understand my thought processes and behaviours, I decided Dr Laura Brougham and the Dawn Practice was the best place to receive post diagnosis counselling. There was no need to go through my background again as she was involved in the assessment making this continuation, seamless. The Dawn Practice has given me tools and strategies to help me navigate life with the new knowledge and understanding that I have gained and continue to gain. I would highly recommend the Dawn Practice.

I sought help from Dr. Laura Brougham at The Dawn Practice during one of the most difficult times in my life, and I worked with her for around 18 months. I had been struggling with a range of long-term psychological issues, including attachment difficulties, substance use, and trauma, all of which had significantly impacted my work, relationships, identity, and self-compassion. From the very beginning, Dr. Brougham made me feel safe, understood, and validated. Her expertise and warmth allowed us to build a strong, trusting relationship where I could explore and work through deeply personal and vulnerable issues. Therapy with her has helped me recognise and change long-standing maladaptive coping patterns that had been holding me back for years, ultimately transforming my life for the better. She also helped me realise that I might be autistic, something I had briefly suspected but never explored in depth. She never pushed me, but offered thoughtful support and guidance as I considered it further. With her help, I pursued an assessment with Dr. Sabella Mansur, who was also absolutely wonderful. The process was handled very professionally and sensitively, and receiving a diagnosis has been life-changing, giving me greater clarity and self-acceptance. I truly don’t know where I’d be without Dr. Brougham’s support. She is an exceptional therapist, and I feel incredibly lucky to have found her. For anyone who has experienced trauma, or who suspects they may have ADHD or autism — particularly women — or for anyone who is simply struggling and is looking for professional help, I couldn’t recommend Dr. Laura Brougham highly enough! The Dawn Practice itself is also excellent — professional, well-run, and supportive throughout.

I worked with Dr Lindsey Watson and Clare Lyons at the Dawn Practise over a number of weeks for a combined adult assessment for autism and ADHD. The appointments were spread across the Wellington Street and the Bath Street locations. The whole process was genuinely amazing, the staff are so professional and so understanding throughout. The standards are extremely high, and all the care was carried out face to face which makes a big difference. It is an expensive process, but fully worth it in my opinion, as you are getting a standard of healthcare I've genuinely never experienced before. No slight at all on the NHS processes as they have to work within bounds they can't control - it was just fantastic to see how efficient and personalised the whole assessment system can be. If you are at all considering an assessment for anything similar, I genuinely can't recommend them highly enough.
