Amaze relationship with counsellor who help and encourage growth and inspire new choices thank u spark
I had therapy here recently with Therese and it has definitely been the best experience of Therapy I’ve ever had. Not only is Therese absolutely excellent at what she does, everyone else l came into contact with were brilliant. Highly recommended.
this is a fantastic service, the member of the team I spoke to was compassionate, professional and very kind, I really appreciate getting to talk to someone about a complex and difficult issue in what felt like a safe and comfortable environment, thank you.
Think carefully before agreeing to counselling as there's a 48 hour cancellation policy with no flexibility. You need commit to the same day/time every week and if something comes up you still need to pay. I tried to cancel 31 hours before my appointment and I was still charged which I understand but I think this is extreme. There was NO flexibility at all, I tried to rearrange at any time that would suit (even an hour before/after as my meeting and my appointment clashed at the same time) but was offered nothing. They wouldn’t even contact my therapist, it was either turn up to the appointment or you will be charged. Very disappointing. I was enjoying my sessions and getting a lot out of them but as someone who is self employed with family commitments I need more flexibility. I understand the need for cancellation policies but think 48 hours is extreme, I set up a DD, we could have arranged a different time with my therapist and they are still guaranteed to get paid but they would rather me leave than offer any kind of flexibility.
I had a great experience with The Spark. Michael helped me through a difficult moment in my life, when my mother became ill and I was giving up much of my social life to help care for her. He gave me techniques to help regain the self-care I was no longer prioritising, and I am very glad I was talking to him at the time and not going through it alone. Michael was really professional, provided great advice, and had a very accurate understanding of my situation. I would absolutely recommend Michael and the team at The Spark.
There are certain advertised councillors in this practice where they claim to be mental health councillors with no empathy no morals and do not have a, sense of when to stop telling lies to mask there own self illousined veiw of life. I think this service will need to look at who they employ all eveidance can be procured from myself.
I am just about to complete the COSCA Certificate in Counselling here at The Spark and cannot recommend training here highly enough. The COSCA course is nothing short of life changing and presented in a very accessible way by the excellent team of trainers. The training centre is modern with great facilities. There’s always a friendly hello on arrival from The Spark staff. The trainers are experienced professionals with an enormous wealth of knowledge between them. All very approachable and determined to provide an enjoyable and exciting experience. 5 stars from me.
After 6 sessions with the Counsellor, I have to say this was the best decision to do either for my mental state or lifestyle. Always there for me, when I called unexpectaly and during sessions as well. Was hard but it did make me feel like I can be myself, hope and see a better future ahead of me. I higly recommend them, the waiting list might be long but was damn worth it!!
Great experience training with The Spark , I've just finished my COSCA skills course and I would highly recommended them.
I thoroughly enjoyed recent training I have been on with The Spark. The trainers made even difficult to understand theory accessible by use of different learning styles activities. I have vastly improved my knowledge and was surprised by how much was covered in a single day delivery. I would recommend training by this organisation.
