Shri supported my daughter Charlotte and me throughout 2025 with regular virtual CBT. Charlotte now refers to that time as “the year of the snake venom,” which gives a sense of how difficult things felt for her. At the start of Year 2, Charlotte was coming home from school in a terrible state each day and had stopped sleeping, yet school were not seeing any concerns and she was meeting expected levels academically. Her mental health continued to decline, and eventually school began to recognise that she was becoming overwhelmed in class. From our very first sessions, Shri built an incredible rapport with Charlotte. She introduced us to strategies such as energy accounting, windows of tolerance and sensory profiling. These had a huge impact at home and are now tools Charlotte is able to use independently. Shri was also exceptionally skilled in helping Charlotte open up about what school actually felt like for her. Over the year, Charlotte received an AuDHD diagnosis. Unfortunately, she began to avoid school, and we came to understand more about the challenges she was facing, including significant difficulties with writing due to hand pain and the overwhelming nature of the classroom environment, despite being very bright. Shri supported us throughout this and encouraged us to escalate concerns about Charlotte’s wellbeing through the appropriate channels. This guidance was instrumental in helping us get to where we are today. After around nine months, Charlotte sadly became too overwhelmed to engage in virtual therapy. She stopped talking in sessions, became increasingly distressed and would often leave the room. Together, we made the right decision to stop and seek face-to-face support, although this also proved challenging to access. Throughout this period, Shri continued to support us with kindness and professionalism, including during EHCP mediation. Thanks to this support, our complex and bright AuDHD daughter’s previously invisible struggles are now recognised, and she has a finalised plan in place. She is now in a new school with incredible support and has been able to re-engage in face-to-face therapy. We truly feel we have our daughter back, and I honestly do not know where we would be without Shri’s early support. Shri was the first professional to truly see Charlotte’s struggles for what they were and helped us advocate for her when no one else was listening. We are forever grateful for the support, guidance and strategies she has given us—they will last a lifetime.

Dr Shri Cameron and the team were absolutely fantastic from start to finish in getting me my diagnosis. Extremely thorough, insightful and most of all caring and mindful of the stresses throughout the process. I couldn’t recommend CAYP Psychology any higher for those who are in a similar, unknowing situation that I was.

I cannot recommend Dr Shri highly enough. She recently assessed and diagnosed my young daughter with ASD, and the entire experience was handled with the utmost professionalism and care. From the first contact, she was warm, approachable, and made us feel completely at ease. Her thoroughness and attention to detail were remarkable. She took the time to truly understand my daughter’s unique strengths and challenges, and her insights were both compassionate and precise. The assessment process was conducted promptly without sacrificing quality, and she made sure to explain everything clearly so we felt informed and supported every step of the way. Thanks to Dr Shri we now have a clear path forward and the resources we need to help our daughter thrive. If you are looking for someone who combines expertise with genuine empathy, look no further.

A very caring and supportive service. Shri has had a huge positive impact on my daughter, she has gently encouraged her to start enjoying going out of the house and to engage in hobbies and interests. Shri is incredibly knowledgeable and has helped me understand what my daughter finds challenging and steps we can take together to support her. A huge thank you!
