Always clean, super friendly employees!!! I love how they give people a second chance!! Also, wondering did they get rid of the 50% every Wednesday and Saturday?

Never ever deal with this salvation army for pick up!!! The driver was lazy, disrespectful and unprofessional!!! There's nothing Godly or Christian like about this so called charity!!! It's best to call the city for pickup!

This is the worst Salvation Army location. I’ve had to reschedule my donation 3xs and each time Marcus says a driver is 30mins away and then no one comes I call again to get told, “oh no one will be able to come out there today, let’s do this. Let’s reschedule you another day. I’m so sick of the back and forth and lack of customer service. You try to do something good to deal with such idiots. He always says he’s going to call me back and when he does he repeats no one can come out after telling me someone is on the way. Finally Marcus calls back and the drivers get here, one was nice but the older one who was the driver was rude, didn’t speak and acted so ungrateful for someone to be donating a nice bed. Never again!

I attempted to reach the Adult Rehabilitation Center for over a week assisting a friend seek inpatient treatment. They never returned our phone calls. When I finally reached someone today (6/13/19) the Intake Coordinator at extension 55870 was the most unhelpful and rude individual I've ever spoken to. And to think that this is an individual vested with the duty to help people battling with an addiction seeking treatment. They were not interested in helping or providing any type of resources. I find that it is time the Salvation Army employ another, more qualified, person to assume that position. My written correspondence in that regard will surely follow. If you need treatment, don't waste your time with this place. Call Anuvia or Rebound.

Very dissappointed, had a king size bed and box spring with no issues. No tears no stains nothing and they left a note saying because of condition they couldn't take it. If you ask me I think they were too lazy to load the thing into the truck. Won't bother donating here again

I have something to say about the Salvation Army ARC officers and the way they treat people while publicly portraying the organization as "giving a man a hand up". I have been a resident previously several times over the last 20 years and have seen this organization throw people away like week old bread many times, but what they did to the kitchen supervisor of 20 years takes the cake. When I arrived here from NY in around 1999 an outside employee wad hired as kitchen supervisor. His name was Dino and he was as fine a gentleman as any within that outfit in fact better than any officer Ive met. He cared about the residents and treated us as human beings. Recently he became eligible for retirement but opted to stay on the job. After 20 years+ of loyal service and attending Salvation Army extracurricular functions he was fired for the high crime of giving someone a half a bottle of juice, effectively robbing him of a modest pension he had earned. SHAME ON YOU!!! SHAME ON YOU!!! During my numerous times at this institution I have witnessed the powers that be (Salvation Army officers and their handpicked underlings) use the system to line their pockets with cash from their daily auctions in their warehouse. I was there when a large box truck was loaded with the choicest donated items and sent to the Sarasota thrift store owned by the Mrs. Majors sister. I was in the warehouse supervisors office when the Mr. Major showed up and said "I need some $ for a fishing trip this weekend' and was counted out $400 cash. To the individual considering making a donation to this business, this cash cow, masquerading as a stepping stone for a man wanting to improve his life i would suggest looking elsewhere. The Salvation Army is s heartless, corrupt enterprise that started out with very good intentions but has veered from that mission. William Booth would be turning over in his grave if he knew what he started has become.

No words can express my gratitude for the outstanding service of this wonderful organization. From my first phone call to them to schedule a pick up (thank you Randy and Mike) to the amazing job that was just completed by Johnnie Williams and Daril Davis, for the actual pick up----there could not have been greater efficiency. They were prompt; they couldn't have been more pleasant; they couldn't have been more careful of everything and they couldn't have been more appreciative. How they got a 300 pound table down 17 steps still leaves me in awe. And without a single mark on a wall. My only comment as they left: "I wish both of you were in the moving business, so I could hire you to move all my belongings." I don't think I'll ever see such perfection again. Thank you very, very much.
