Ginny is one of a small handful of my peers in the field that I trust implicitly to hold clients and their stories with an incredible amount of care, respect, warmth, and expertise. From numerous conversations with her over the time I've known her, it is very evident that Ginny thinks deeply about her practice as a counselor and is uniquely well-suited for working with those experiencing infertility and other reproductive trauma. Charlotte is fortunate to have her!
Ginny is a rare blend of deep compassion and sharp professional knowledge. While working together, I was struck by how much heart she pours into every detail of her practice. It is rare to find a provider who is as technically grounded as they are emotionally present, but Ginny manages both effortlessly! As a colleague, I’ve seen firsthand the integrity and warmth she brings to the table. She is a trusted professional who truly listens with her whole heart and anyone would be lucky to have her in their corner. If you are looking for a provider who is as kind as she is capable, I cannot recommend her highly enough.
I highly recommend Ginny to all of my practice members. She's timely, personable, and dedicated to utilizing the most up to date practices to help her clients. She is committed to understanding her clients and creating an environment that is not only affirming but also non-judgemental. She does not stop at her own knowledge base, but actively pursues additional resources and community partners to make sure her clients have access to what they truly need. She is a treasure in our community and anyone in her practice is a valued member!
I went to her for Gottman therapy and she did some unstructured therapy I didn’t get anything out of.
Ginny is a highly compassionate, gifted therapist. She is diligent in providing the highest level of care and committed to walking alongside those experiencing reproductive trauma with kindness and collaboration. She is a deeply ethical therapist, and I would highly recommend her to clients needing a space to work through infertility, reproductive grief and loss, perinatal and postpartum mental health challenges, and relationship struggles.
Ginny helped facilitate a grief processing group for our team after we experienced a traumatic loss as a company. The group was a great resource for us as it enabled us to share about our experiences and better support each other. She was a wonderful facilitator and a source of peace in a very difficult time. - Jim, owner of Ryerson Brothers Construction
As a fellow Mental Health Therapist, I feel confident recommending Ginny and her practice. I have known Ginny professionally for several years and have personally benefitted from her clinical wisdom and experience as a colleague in the mental health profession on numerous occasions. She holds a very rare capacity to walk alongside each person she encounters with empathy, nuance, insight, and care regardless of where they may be in their therapeutic journey or season of life. If you are looking for a therapist who is going to do the work to understand your unique life situation, care deeply with and for you, and provide a gentle and empowering challenge when needy, Ginny is the therapist for you.
I am so grateful for Ginny and all of the hard work she puts in with her clients! It is clear that she is in it, heart and soul, and deeply cares about her work. I would recommend her to anyone suffering a loss or experiencing fertility struggles.
I’m writing this review to share several concerns that arose during my time working with this clinician. First, her cancellation policy felt unusually rigid. For instance, when I was experiencing significant norovirus symptoms, I was told the $150 late-cancellation fee could not be waived, despite having no prior missed, canceled, or rescheduled appointments. I felt pressured to attend the session to avoid the fee. Later, I reviewed the practice paperwork I had signed and found that it explicitly states first-time late cancellations are waived. When I raised this discrepancy with Ginny, she neither acknowledged the error nor offered an apology. This experience was concerning from both a health perspective and in terms of flexibility and professionalism. On at least two occasions, I was billed for a full therapy hour even though our session was significantly shorter (in one instance only 20 minutes). Billing for a full hour when a session is less than 53 minutes is insurance fraud. I was also asked to complete a self-report questionnaire that cost $39, which was not disclosed during the intake process. In my experience, measures are typically free or billed through insurance, so the unexpected out-of-pocket cost felt poorly communicated. Finally, when she informed me that she was leaving her practice (after 4 intake appointments) and would no longer be accepting insurance, there was a significant delay in receiving referrals. Over the course of about a month, referrals were repeatedly mentioned as forthcoming, but they were not provided in a timely way. In fact, I did not receive a referral until my last session. Overall, I wish Ginny had demonstrated more flexibility, transparency, and follow-through, both in her administrative policies and in her clinical practice. While others may have different experiences, these issues significantly impacted my trust and comfort as a client.
Amazing therapist! I would recommend her to anyone. She has helped me through a very difficult time.
