If you’ve been hesitant to start therapy or anxious about finding the right person, well look no further. Ashley is truly one of the best therapists in Charlotte. She creates such a safe, welcoming environment that makes it easy to open up. Her holistic approach helps you understand and heal the root causes. Working with her has genuinely changed the way I view myself, my relationships, and how I handle stress and emotions. I’ve made more progress with Ashley in months than I did in years elsewhere. She’s incredibly skilled at helping you find that you are stronger than you think! I cannot recommend Ashley enough!

I highly recommend Ashley to anyone seeking a more integrative approach to healing and personal growth. Ashley brings a grounded presence combined with deep knowledge, creativity, and compassion. What stands out is her willingness to engage with complexity and to genuinely explore and work through challenging situations with patience and openness. She brings a unique blend of professionalism and warmth, making space for both structure and deep emotional work. If you're looking for a therapist who thinks and works beyond traditional methods and incorporates a more holistic, embodied experience into the therapeutic process, Ashley is a wonderful choice. Her approach is both refreshing and impactful.

I happened across Blue Sage Counseling from a google search after my husband had strongly encouraged I seek therapy. I sought out a practice that was not going to be the traditional talk therapy but something holistic. I began this journey with Ashley apprehensive and not knowing what I even needed. Ashley has been an amazing guide on my healing journey and has given me insight and tools that I will be forever indebted to her for. She created a safe space for me to learn about myself and connect to who I really am while gently guiding me to dig deeper. I can say that after my time with Ashley that I have less anxiety, more confidence and am able to tune into my needs and now have an ability to express myself appropriately no matter the emotion I’m feeling. Her insight has given me a different perspective on my relationship, my children and my life as a whole. I highly recommend this practice!

I felt like I was able to move through more past trauma within a couple sessions with Ashley than years of talk therapy combined. She has a unique ability to safely guide me in and then out of emotions and past trauma using experiential therapy. Working with Ashley has been my first experience with this style of therapy and I am never looking back. I feel I am able to do so much work in just one short hour with her because of it. I no longer live in Charlotte but make it a point to see Ashley when in town. We recently did a four hour intensive session when I was visiting and it was absolutely transformative. We were able to get deep into core wounds and thought patterns like I haven't been able to do before. I feel so comfortable emoting a wide range of emotions in front of her and with her like I haven't been able to do with previous therapists. I feel safe, supported, and guided in my sessions with Ashley. I've gained so much more insight and sense of resilience since starting this journey with Ashley and plan to continue. If you are ready to do the work, I cannot recommend Ashley more!

If you are thinking about seeing Ashley, I would highly recommended it. This is someone who takes her practice seriously. She has a great balance of listening, but also adds immense value when she does speak. I know she is always working on her skill, it shows during sessions where she comes up with new and creative ideas to dive deeper and explore topics. I’ve seen therapists in the past that can be a bit pushy when it comes to scheduling sessions, and it can even seem like therapists want to keep you for life. Ashley is not like this. I’m so grateful for the work she has helped me do.

Ashley Francis was recommended to me by a friend who also practices therapy in the Charlotte area. If I had any idea of the positive impact that our sessions would have on me, I would’ve started therapy so much sooner. Ashley is empathetic, authentic, understanding, and transparent. And, she’s always open to giving me the flexibility to navigate our sessions in a way that’s comfortable for me (even in the moments when I may deflect or speak cryptically :)), while still helping ensure that I’m taking the necessary steps to progress. I’m forever grateful for Ashley’s support throughout the years.

I've worked with several different therapists off and on through the years, when the need is there, and have been fortunate to have worked with two in particular who are just wonderful. One lives in Oregon, and the other one is Ashley at Blue Sage here in Charlotte. She is an excellent communicator, compassionate listener, and holds great space. She is professional, reliable, and clear, but also clearly loves the work she does and that comes through in her sessions, which is special. Personally, she has helped me process an unbelievable amount of family-related stress, and also connected me to other resources for members of my family. Her support has been invaluable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her first to anyone seeking mental health support for any reason.

Ashley is absolutely wonderful. I truly can’t say enough about how talented she is as a healer. She has, and continues to, help me understand and work through my past trauma. She has helped me understand and create healthy boundaries. She consistently reminds me how important it is for me to take care of myself in order to be able to better care for my family and friends. I have worked with many therapists over my 38 years on this planet, and Ashley is genuinely the best therapist with whom I have ever worked. She is so much more than a therapist. She will truly listen to you, support you, work to understand you, work with you to help you heal yourself, and work with you to help you learn to be the best possible version of yourself.

There are not enough words to express how thankful I am for my time with Ashley. She is so caring, funny and has been an absolute blessing in my life. She is always there when needed, very flexible and will do whatever she can to help. Ashley helped me out of a low place and gave me the tools I need to grow personally and even professionally. If you are ever in need of a therapist, I would absolutely recommend her!
