I used Horizon for just over 6 months weekly with Claire and was overwhelmed with the support she gave me. She always made me feel comfortable and safe and worked with me through a really down point in my life. To be where I am now is a testament to the quality of support I received. Would highly recommend
I was having abit of a tough time with my anxieties recently and felt like I needed help. I found Ilze from Horizon and she’s made me realise so many things. I felt like I could completely open up with her and she really listened to my struggles. Ilze provided loads of coping strategies and guided me on the steps to get to where I am now. I’m so pleased I chose Ilze and after 4 sessions, it’s completely changed the way I think and treat my mental health. Thankyou again Horizon and huge thankyou to Ilze 😊
I needed support in understanding the anxieties and concerns that surround my insomnia which originated from a work related stress episode some years ago. I engaged with Claire Evans at Horizon whom I found incredibly helpful and sympathetic. Working with here we uncovered many issues concerning my anxieties that may relate back to the original episode. To that extent I remain a 'work in progress' but I would have no hesitation in recommending Claire and Horizon to anyone requiring help.
I would like to Thank Alan and his team for their continual support with helping both myself and my son. Even though my son is now in New Zealand Alan was more than happy to arrange a meeting around the time difference to make sure he reached out the my Son. Alan is a complete rock to us both when we have a blip in our lives we know we can reach out for support and he will get us back on track with our positive future Big Thanks too Alan and Team Regards Tony
I can't thank Alan Stokes enough for all the help he has given me. The change and improvement I see and feel with in myself is absolutely incredible and going to see Alan for help and advice is definitely one of the best decisions I have ever done. If you need help, Alan and Horizon is the place to go to.
I have nothing but positive things to say about Horizon, going to speak to someone on a one to one basis and transformed my way of thinking for the better and led me to living a happier and positive life all round. If you are considering this currently or have thought about it in the past then I can't recommend going to speak to someone enough, it is the stepping stone to a better version of yourself which is ultimately what everyone wants. Thanks again for everyone at Horizon! :D
I chose Alan Stokes as my therapist after seeing another review recommending him and my god was it the best decision i could have made. I went to Horizon stricken with quite severe anxiety and after only 5-6 sessions, and the willingness to work on myself after each session, I genuinely feel like a different person. I've had comments on how much better I've been and I really didn't think I'd get better, especially not so quickly. Alan is incredibly friendly and easy going and I felt like I could relax each time I saw him. I had a few genuine laughs during my time with him and without him I really don't think I would have had the motivation to fix my mental health. Can't recommend Horizon, and especially Alan, enough.
I would highly reccomend counselling with horizon. Being able to talk openly and honestly in a safe space has been really, really great for my mental health. Alan is very knowledgeable and kind. Being able to talk about anything, from small things to huge concerns has enabled me to process and get past traumatic experiences.
Few years ago, I had depression and was feeling troubled by everything in my life. I found Horizon which is not far from where I live and so decided to give it a try. The whole place was wonderful, kind receptionist, professional consultant, he was very patient with me, and identified the deep down causes of my issues very earlier on and designed a plan to help me with them. Since then I have developed much better mentality and am always grateful of the support I have received. I had such good memories about this place and would highly reconmmand.
Professional, understanding service catering to the individual. Horizons has got me through a very difficult period in my life, and was excellent value for money. I felt listened to, challenged (in a good way), and will go back if I feel I am slipping back into old patterns. It is an investment into yourself! We are worth it! Huge thank you to Alan and the amazing Horizons team 🙌🏻
