I went into therapy with Scott at a time in my life where I had simply lost my way and nothing I was doing seemed to make any difference to how I was feeling. I really felt hopeless, but the worst part was that I didn’t know why. I decided to give therapy another go. I had tried a couple of counsellors in the past who I just didn’t click with, as they tended to just sit there and listen without offering very much. Scott seemed different and really gets involved and has a personality. From the very first session, Scott shared valuable insight and suddenly things started to make sense as to why I was “stuck in a rut”. Scott helped me to see how my past had shaped who I am, but also that I didn’t have to simply accept this. I could challenge it and change it. I remember him saying to me, “you don’t have to be a slave to your past.” That has stayed with me ever since and I still replay it regularly. After about 12 weeks of therapy, I felt completely different and more like myself again. In fact, I felt better than I had in a long time, and I honestly believe this therapy saved my marriage and my relationship with my kids. I thank Scott so much for his valuable insight and expertise, and also for challenging me at times when I couldn’t quite see the woods for the trees. You are doing great work and I will continue to recommend you!

Scott is a regular at a psychology and arts workshop I co facilitate and is always a welcome addition to the group. He is funny and warm and incredibly insightful, I find his enthusiasm and honesty encourages others in the group. I would certainly recommend Scott to anyone looking for a therapist, he is easy to talk to and very astute. A perfect combination.

Highly recommended. Scott recently helped a friend of mine through a bereavement and his patience, professionalism, and compassion really shone through. It’s reassuring to know there are therapists like this out there!

Scott helped me come to terms with my anxiety and depression. We stripped back to the beginning and started from scratch. A lot of my anxiety and trauma is from past trauma. We went it and he explained me to myself. It opens up doors to understand myself and help to tackle what was going on. Over the past year I have been living the life I was always deserved. I’m a happier person with lasting relationships. I will continue to see Scott as my mind is a greater place. Thank you xxxx

Scott is a fabulous dynamic therapist! A great colleague, I recommend him highly to anybody I'm unable to see personally such as individuals partners. The feedback I get back is transformative. A fabulous couples worker and individual therapist. What I often tell people who I refer to him, is that Scott is great at challenge. If you want a therapist where you actively change your patterns Scott is that, if you want somebody who will collude with negative patterns, I would seek another therapist.

I was just about to refer SJS therapy and came across the low star review. What a shame. I work the same way as Scott and it tends to be understood that once a session time has been offered and paid for that there would be no reason to believe it wouldn't proceed. The initial session is where clients decide whether they would like to book another appointment in the diary or take time to think about it, then make contact. I appreciate that sometimes emails first sent end up in the junk box and there is no indication for therapists to look through the junk box on the off chance a client has messaged especially when phone numbers are also provided. I can imagine therapists who have full time receptionists wouldn't find time to scroll the junk box incase somebody has got back in touch as it's such a busy field. Scott is a brilliant therapist and I highly recommend him to everyone who asks me for a referral. Should anyone wish for further confirmation of appointments please use his number as well as his email to not let undelivered mail be part of the therapeutic experience.

Wouldn’t recommend. Initial email communications wasn’t great - after requesting a time, paying and sending through personal details I received no confirmation and ended up chasing to see whether the session I had paid for was even still going ahead. My initial therapy consultation seemed positive and I was prepared to proceed with therapy with Scott. I emailed afterwards thanking Scott for his time and asking him what the next steps were to get something regular scheduled in. I have received no response to my email and he has not proactively reached out to follow up this initial consultation in case my email had got lost or not been delivered. The lack of communication is highly unprofessional and not conducive to a good working therapy relationship. As such, I will look elsewhere.

I can’t recommend Scott enough. His approach and professionalism is second to none. He is fantastic at what he does and has provided me with a lifeline to get me through a very difficult time in my life. He is clear and concise when he explains strategies, which enable me to deal with situations better than before. If anyone is thinking about having therapy, I encourage you to contact Scott. He will welcome you into his beautiful, relaxing and tranquil therapy room, and will provide you with invaluable support to help get you to a place you want to be. Thanks Scott.
