It was my first time properly trying therapy but Chris really made it easy. I could go at my own pace but was able to open up and discuss a wide range of topics. Looking at things through different perspectives and through different thought processes was really helpful, and Chris was able to help really picture things. Caring and warm - I would recommend gibing it a go with Chris if anyone was contemplating it.

I’ve been seeing Chris at Leicester Therapy for a few months to work through some trauma from my teenage years. When I hit a point where I couldn’t seem to move past certain issues, he suggested EMDR. I was sceptical at first as it sounded unusual but he explained the science behind it and I figured it was worth a shot. It’s challenging to put into words how genuinely life-changing that EMDR session has been. It’s completely changed my outlook for the better and I plan on using that type of therapy again for some other elements we are working on. Chris has a no pressure, welcoming approach to therapy so cant recommend him enough.

He’s extremely supportive, patient, an active listener even when you feel like everything is blurting out in a ramble, and empathetic in a way that makes you feel like you’re not alone. Going through dark times by yourself can be very hard, but having sessions with Chris gave me the confidence to reach out to others and to create boundaries and better relationships with certain situations. Sometimes Chris was the only person I’d speak to weekly and in many ways, his sessions kept me afloat. Because of his help, I’m confident that I can ride the wave on my own two feet. Chris doesn’t take gift baskets but a thank you is so very in order!! Thank you for your support, Chris, and for giving me the steps to taking the reins on my life back. Because of the work we have done together, I’m looking forward to returning to work, education, and a safer future for myself, where I can live independently again! If I ever need to return to therapy, Chris is the person I’ll be contacting. Highly recommended.
