I wish I had read the other reviewers who have documented that this person charges enormous fees without any services rendered. 2 weeks cancellation in therapy is unjust. I hope others file a complaint with the Psych Board of California documenting their experiences so this will end.Trauma survivors should not suffer more trying to find help. check out the yelp reviews too ..don't lose $ like I did.
Please review this man's website and consider he is *slightly* biased towards fathers and takes usually male-dominated disorders and slams mothers...so now women are not only the borderline parent, but they're also the ones responsible for trauma-bonds and are over-represented in narcissistic parents as well...Everything on his blog points to the "mentally ill mother..." Mr. Quirke?..Sexism and misogyny much?.. Also, perhaps if dads showed up, moms wouldn't be insane. Lastly, maybe you ought to consider your own anger at your mother before forming a practice around your issues...
It takes immense responsibility to write a review, especially if the review is critical one. I've been a long standing client of Mr. Michael G Quirke, before my fall out with him on issues regarding therapy payments, clarity on therapy procedures and lack of appropriate communication. I felt stuck with no progress and the dependency on Mr. Quirke made matters worse, especially on the financial front. The lack of sensitivity and compassion made me feel defeated, thus worsening my mental and physical health. The purpose of this review isn't to defame anyone but to share my side of experience and I'm not the only one to go through an experience like the one I had. There are many others you can find at the Yelp platform.
