This was one of the worst clinics I've talked to. From the initial consult with the assistant(?) I felt an extreme lack of empathy just like the other review mentioned. Anytime I mentioned my problems it was almost as if they felt I was just exaggerating. They went through the entire consult just to tell me I probably won't be qualified based on something I informed him about within the first 10 minutes of the hour plus call. There was no real conversation or explanation from the doctor to see if we could work through this, instead I was just pushed a treatment that I specifically said I don't want in the consult. not to mention they use AI note taking which seems highly unethical to me in a mental health setting where there is sensitive information. I was able to opt out but this shouldn't even be an option when individuals are talking about sensitive personal information
As a veteran seeking support, I was deeply disappointed by my experience at Mission Behavioral Health. They were unwilling to perform even the basics, refusing outright to provide access to legal resources that could help protect and secure my quality of life while balancing mental health needs. Their bedside manner was neither kind nor empathetic, making it clear that patient well-being was not a priority. There also seems to be a level of institutional bias and apathy when dealing with patients from underserved communities. Veterans and those in need of real support should consider looking elsewhere for care.
Amazing communication which I think is HUGE and not easy to find when it comes to mental health providers. Dr Neagan is amazing and I don’t think I’ve ever had someone actually care as much as she has. Lexie has been so helpful getting her messages and squeezing me into the schedule. Patient for life!
