No reflexologist appears to currently be here -- they are presently doing renovations. There are signs outside advertising ,"foot massage for $29." Go see for yourself and talk to them. Their "English is perfect" --meaning they speak a little American. π.
Lady was very nice, very friendly. She was able to fit me in the same day I called. I asked for a prenatal massage & told her I was tense in my shoulder/neck area. (90mins for $130) She was kind and listened to my concerns which I really appreciate since sometimes I feel masseuse stick to their routine. Highly recommended!! * you do have to go up stairs case to second floor *
Was in town for a conference and decided to try Massage and Tea. Upon booking a Swedish massage I showed up and did NOT receive a Swedish massage and instead an extremely painful deep tissue massage. I kept telling the massage therapist that she was hurting me but that didnβt seem to help as she couldnβt understand English so I suffered through waiting for the hour to be over so I could just pay and leave. Upon paying I was overcharged by the same massage therapist and since she didnβt understand English, she was unable to understand that she overcharged me. It was a small amount, so rather than wait for someone else to come up to the desk. I just paid it and left. If you have the opportunity to get a massage while youβre in SD, would highly recommend another place.
Friendliest spa in downtown San Diego... throughly enjoyed my massage, booked the same day. So convenient and accommodating for a really angry sciatica. REALLY GREAT massage. Hallie and Susan were fantastic! And so friendly, from the lovely lady who greeted me to the practitioners. If you're in pain and in need of an effective, pain relieving massage, run, don't walk, to Massage and Tea. Best massage I've had in years. Will definitely be back next time I'm in San Diego!!
First, this is not a typical Chinese foot massage. Sadly itβs one of the worst massages and I travel a lot and get a lot of massage. It will run you around $70 and up for 50 minutes. I hope to save someone money with this review so you can get a good massage somewhere else. They are nice - will give them that. Answer to what she replied- you pay for the portion of the head massage while they soak the foot. And massage is a strong word- this is not a massage. The head and shoulders part was an extra $39- my total was $68 for 50 minutes of a terrible experience. Read the reviews below- all accurate 1 star reviews
Amazing experience! Friend and I got the 30 min foot massage and I had the shoulder, neck and head massage. We both had great experiences. My massage therapist was Rose and she has amazingly strong hands and found all the knots and pressure points that needed attention! Definitely hope to visit here again one day
The massage professional at Massage and Tea are extremely gifted. The experience there is welcoming, professional and thoroughly enjoyable. I've gone there multiple time my last two trips to San Diego and look forward to the next time. Highly recommend!
My husband and I booked a 90 minute couples massage here for one of our last nights in San Diego. It's quaint, but don't be fooled by that. We both walked out in agreement that this may have been the best massage we've ever received. I always struggle with a massive knot on my right shoulder, and she is the first massage therapist to give me relief with it. We're both a little sore today, but that's a good thing. Pricing is good for what you get--sure, there's no sauna or ritzy add-ons. But those aren't needed when you receive a high quality massage. Next time we're in town, we will definitely be returning. Thank you for relieving the pent up stress of two travelers on the move!
My wife and I got the 60 min couples massage. We enjoyed our experience. Itβs not the fanciest place, looks like a revamped house inside, but the massage was very enjoyable! You donβt leave all greasy or oily. They hit all the knots in our backs and loosened up my calves really well. The staff was very nice and chatted with us while we drank our beverages afterwards. The whole experience is worth the price of admission and we would definitely go back, just be aware itβs not a big fancy parlor.
My husband and I wanted to get a couples massage and our hotel offered it at $280 and that was a bit much for what we were looking to spend. So I googled a neary spa and this place showed up with a significantly lower price for couples massage. We called and made a same day appointment. Not a fancy place at all but was very clean, relaxing environment and the workers were very friendly and did a great job. Our massages were so thorough and personalized. I got a softer massage while my husband got a deep tissue massage. If we go back to San Diego, we'll definitely stop by for another massage π
