The Jane Westin Center is slow as hell, yes. HOWEVER once you are seen, the care is second to none. The counselors, doctors, psychiatrists, nurses and even front desk staff treat you like you matter. They treat you like they care about you and are concerned for your well being. They also insist upon going above and beyond to help you. They offered me help I didn’t even come in for… which I needed. I can not thank the staff enough for being so gregarious and thoughtful. You made me safe and cared for just when I needed it most.

One of the safestplaces I’ve been to for services meaning I didn’t feel uncomfortable disrespected, that I was the problem of my situation, that I was judged by what I’ve done like other clinics have been unfortunately. Every one of the staff members..Each of their was either respectful,, helpful, or so kind.😀 Be prepared for the the usual..;

Well where to begin …. First I get denied meds by a place on Moreno more on that in a sec but they redirected me to Jane Westin so I go there and some four hours later with all there anti weapon stuff on the walls typical California honestly anyway they lost my I’d as in never gave it back and I go to Allen’s to get my meds and it’s not in my wallet I specifically don’t remember there not giving it back but they have a copy of it so they had it but anyway they sent me back to the place on Moreno that turned me away that’s after I put a one star review on there website for stated reason of meds denial …I’m not sure why but these meds launched me into a brainfog I took half and still crashed hard twice in two days there reviews are accurate and the staff besides being slow and losing my I’d were ok security was fine too ect the neighborhood is super ghetto but that’s most of downtown if not all thanks sincerely tom

I suffer from chronic depression and anxiety and was off meds for a little too long and found myself without a provider and couldn't get in anywhere for months. Things were looking bleak and I was referred to Jane Westin to get meds. I showed up in the afternoon and it was a seemingly slow day with only a couple people in the waiting room. I spoke with several different people including nurses, a social worker, and the psychiatrist (via zoom). Everyone was extremely professional and compassionate. I was there for several hours but was able to leave with scripts that day for a couple days and then their pharmacy delivered the remaining 30 days worth. I am so grateful as the meds are helping already and I have been able to get back to life. Thank you for all that you guys do!

I came to this facility because I was experiencing psychosis and my doctor was out of town so my clinic sent me here to get emergency meds. Every staff member I spoke to was extremely friendly, even the security guard who got up and opened the door for me a number of times as I went in and out. Danielle and Kat (spelling?) were so kind and compassionate. I feel really grateful to them especially. Unfortunately the wait time was really long (about 6 hours). I spent the majority of that time in the lobby and the television was constantly triggering my delusions. However, there was a sound machine going and that helped me relax quite a bit. Overall this is a great facility, just a bit understaffed.

The guards were kind and compassionate towards a lady with turrets. What upset me was that I went there with my wife and this female staff made her feel very uncomfortable by hitting on her! I leave to the car for a minute and my wife is urging me to come back because she was uncomfortable. Who does that? So unprofessional, I mean hitting on clients that are there trying to get mental help? So disrespectful!

If I Could I'd give this place a minus 5 stars. I went there in 2015 thinking I would get counseling for basic depression and ended being held on an involuntary 5150!!! There was absolutely nothing wrong with me other than a touch of insomnia from working the graveyard shift and mild depression. After sitting in their waiting room ALL Day Long, waiting to speak to someone and after getting off an all nighter at the job mind you, finally I go to the back and never voluntarily came back out. I was not a threat to myself or anyone else.... The doctor lady asked me to wait in a chair back there behind those locked doors. Next thing I knew the police came back there and handcuffed me. I was scared for my life. My wife waited in the waiting room for my return and they never let me go back out there to talk to her!! They tricked me into a life of failure as I was working as an Armed Security Officer at the time (I was not armed as I had gone home after work and changed my clothes).... They stripped me of my rights, my job and my dignity! It was a set up! Now my wife and I can't even adopt children because of this.... That doctor knew exactly what she was doing ! This incident hurt me more than helped me in so many ways. I did learn a lesson from this and the lesson is "This system can take away our freedom at any given moment and there is nothing that we can do about it!"

Yes I was there a few hours. But services and staff are professional, caring, & helpful. Starting with clerical. Pre screening, intake assessment, nurse, psychiatrist and discharge coordinator. I left w appointments for follow up and my psy meds. As well as feeling more hopeful. Thank you all!!!!

I updated street address to current location (using Suggest Edit option for Place, Place Moved option). Better, but there are still 2 Place items for 1 same real place/name/organization. The other Place item is more complete & correct. I left this Place with the older name, Jane Westin Wellness & Recovery Center, to help distinguish. Current real organization name is Jane Westin Center. They moved (a long time ago). Recommend refer instead to Google Maps/Place - Jane Westin Center @ 1045 9th Ave, San Diego, CA 92101. (9th Ave. & Broadway St.) (I have been to both previous & current locations.) Recommend Google should consider simplifying to 1 Place item. Combine/merge/move some of this Place listing's valid content (reviews) (that may still apply to the business), to the other current Place? Then delete this Place or else mark as closed permanently (however, this business is still open at this location. Marking 1 Place closed might confuse users to think the business is closed permanently, rather than just this Place iten. Google, what do you recommend as best way to update this in Maps? Google contact me of you want more info or help.) What do we do when there are multiple Place items for same real name/place/organization, but the Places are not exact duplicates in content? Differences in content, like reviews or photos split over the Places? Is there a way to merge or move selective content over?
