Mobile Crisis was useless when my client was having a mental health breakdown. Client expressed suicidal ideation and even the police told the case manager at Mobile Crisis that client needed an intervention... but nope they said because client would not talk to the police, they deemed that client would not talk to them. We ended the call with them telling me to call back if client continued to escalate. I told them this is why they only have two stars on Google.
They are useless. I walked from my house by city college Ocean ave all the way to 19th & mission on the phone with them begging them to please help deescalate my sister took them over and hour while telling me that the van had passed me multiple times while I was walking in a straight line. Your no help PD were way more helpful than you. Your in thr wrong line of work . We need people who actually care .
This place called the following afternoon after receiving a concerning call. I know it’s a lawyer that is trying to gather info who is making these calls to them get personal info. I called them back two different times and their stories change each time.
Similar to other reviews. Waste of time. Police said call mobile crisis for wellness check and assessment. After giving mobile crisis all the personal information they asked for they said they will check with their supervisor and call back. Called back to tell me they won't come out, to call the police. Are they funded withtax dollars? Total waste!
Mobile crisis in San Francisco is woefully insufficient to meet the realities of mental health crisis.

I called the Mobile Crisis line today about a gentleman who appeared to be in severe mental distress on the corner of Larkin and Golden Gate. The first question the operator asked me was whether he appeared to be homeless. When I said that he might be, she suggested that I call either the police or homeless outreach, because Mobile Crisis does not evaluate people on the street. (I did call homeless outreach, and their operator disagreed, saying that Mobile Crisis can be dispatched to the street and that she would call them again.) Is San Francisco's Mobile Crisis team refusing to help homeless individuals in this city? If so, why?
