Their administrative system screams big corporation trying to cut corners to save some money. Just trying to get a simple zoom link caused unneeded stress and anxiety. Very difficult to get anyone on the phone for assistance. Would not trust this company to put anything in my body.

I spoke to someone named Aldo over the phone today. I’ve been struggling with my other tms provider. He was very comforting and informed me of many of the complexities of the treatment, putting my immense anxiety at ease. The conversation alone has made me decide to switch to these people. I hope the administration truly values him.

I had been to a couple of different therapists before finding Jennifer Guo. She's helped me so much across various parts of my life. She always listens so well and while she won't hold back from telling me the truth, I've never felt judged or disrespected or uncomfortable for anything that I've said. She's truly the best & a lifesaver.

I recently wrote a one star review of Mindful Health Solutions due to several repetitive difficulties I’ve had with them over the past year and a half in regard to not getting prescriptions, changed appointments etc. with a former provider. However, they did reach out to make amends and assigned me a new provider, Michael Nguyen, a few weeks ago. Upon our first appointment I found Michael to be very down to earth, supportive, empathetic, professional, relatable, and overall amazing. Michael listened to my mental health needs and provided excellent care and medication management. Michael has ensured my mental health is a priority, and I’m very thankful he is my new provider. Michael single-handedly redeemed MHS and I thought it important to update the former review based on his high level of care. Thank you so much Michael!

Shafi has been nothing short of a miracle for our relationship. She helped my wife and I open up communication about a number of topics that often led to fights and that we had given up on bringing up with each other... and they got resolved!

I live in Santa Monica and saw a few psychiatrists around here over the years but never felt like I clicked with any. I'm so glad I started seeing Dr. Shafi, I've been seeing her now for a few months and I feel like she really has helped me in so many ways. She's been a great help with my meds.

I waited weeks for an appointment with Dr Nugent and it was cancelled on the day. I had a follow up booked already and when they phoned to reschedule they told me I couldn’t be seen anymore as the doctor is no longer accepting new patients despite me having 2 booked appointments. I’ve been waiting for literally months for this appointment and they said all they could do was refer me to a provider who is not even in the city I live in. No wonder there’s a mental health crisis. People who want to be seen can’t be seen.

Note: Requires 5 day a week 6 week treatment schedule. Despite qualifying for treatment via the initial video consultation, the follow up call to book treatment appointments with the admins was a horrible experience. The admins were unable to schedule my treatment at a consistent time. Based on the way it was explained to me by the admins over the phone I was expected to call up every day and ask if I can be seen. I am sure this is great policy for people who live every day free of the burden of a job, meetings, and daily obligations. I'm not lucky enough to be one of those people. For a business that supposedly offers a treatment to help reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and PTSD, their administrative staff and policies have done nothing but compound my symptoms.

Dr. Shafi is an exceptional psychiatrist who truly cares about her patients. She took the time to listen to my concerns and tailored her approach to fit my specific needs. I would highly recommend her to anyone in need of psychiatric care.

FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH & SAFETY, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM MINDFUL HEALTH SOLUTIONS. Three months ago I came to MHS knowing exactly what medication was working for me in the past. Unfortunately, Dr. Ferhad Ahmad disagreed with me. Maybe he just wanted to feel like he knew better than me / exercise his authority? I don't know. Anyways, within 15 minutes of meeting each other (& with very little questioning), he insisted I try out mood stabilizers. I told him that mood had nothing to do with my mental health issues at the moment, but he said I wouldn't know if it'd help unless I tried. I agreed to try them since I was desperate & MHS refused to put me on my previous meds. It all happened so fast. Those mood stabilizers made me feel terrible for weeks. I stopped them and requested a different psychiatrist, one that was willing to listen to their patients' needs. I heard nothing back for a month, so I messaged them again. They replied that my case had been marked as urgent/high priority & that they would schedule me with someone else within 2 weeks. Another month passed. Foolishly, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, downplaying my own needs & assumed they had no availabilities and/or higher priority patients. I finally gave them another call and they said the same thing they told me last. Weeks later & I still haven't heard back. In total, it's been three months & I haven't received proper care. I don't wanna go into too much detail, but I've faced an INCREDIBLE amount of unnecessary stress, pain, & turmoil DIRECTLY because of MHS. It seems that they're really trying to push TMS & esketamine -- two relatively novel psychiatric treatments -- so I do NOT suggest coming to MHS if you need anything besides those. I never thought it'd happen to me, but after learning that psychiatrists get paid more the more they prescribe, I realized that Big Pharma is real and out to get us hooked on whatever they can. Please, please do lots of research & don't forget to be your own advocate while navigating this hellish American healthcare system. Good luck!
