Love My doctor but a super shady organization. They are huge and you can’t get anyone on the line and I am supposed to be refunded over $900 and they can’t tell me where they sent the money….

Sad to give my first negative review. Poor response rate. Been ghosted by front desk or doctor several times. This is the 2nd time my provider has left the practice so I’m being reassigned to a new one and they refused to waive the “new patient” fee of $360. I asked if they could help me out and make an exception bc I just paid $360 fee earlier this calendar year (February!!!) and they wouldn’t budge. Unfortunately will be leaving the practice because I can’t afford a 3rd new patient fee. Recommend going elsewhere. FYI - I reached out per the below message and have followed up 3x and no one has replied :)

I have found a provider that has changed my life overall. The life skills to support my mental health that I have developed since seeing Dr. P has had such a positive impact on me. I am forever thankful.

I’m mostly okay with my assigned psychiatrist. Lifestance as a company gives me a headache and ultimately I feel like the service isn’t worth the trouble except that I need my medication. Scheduling is never convenient and any attempt at rescheduling is even worse. Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re desperate, which I am.

I love this service. I started using LifeStance during the pandemic and the clinician I found was amazing. I went through a lot with my health and my doctors followed up with her. I realize I got very lucky with my care team. I’ve also used their therapy services and that was great also. If I could give more that 5 stars I would.

Unbelievably terrible patient care. My wife was referred her to get her ADHD medication refilled in September. A doctor saw her, told her that she would be able to pick up her meds soon, but after six weeks of silence, had not gotten any more information. The doctor then abruptly left the practice. The staff was able to honor the prescription, and referred us to new doctor at LifeStance. While we had to wait almost a month for that appointment, we were willing to wait to ensure that she could continue to receive her medication on a regular schedule. In the appointment, the new doctor informed us that she would not be prescribing any medication until she did "her own evaluation." When my wife explained that she had this full evaluation at two separate practices before, and that she had seen a doctor at LifeStance previously, she shrugged her off, and said it didn't matter - that she would determine in two, maybe three sessions, whether my wife could continue taking the medication that she has been prescribed for twenty years. We asked whether these appointments could be held close together, so my wife wouldn't face a medication gap - the next appointment the doctor offered us was Christmas Eve. The entire experience was dehumanizing, opaque, and miserable. We look forward to finding another practice that treats its patients with empathy.

FYI It's essentially a scam based on cancellation fees; they have an F rating from the Better Business Bureau, with hundreds of complaints there. my personal experience- I fell victim to the "surprise appointment" cancellation scam. I paid a total of $350 (with insurance) for absolutely nothing: a 15 minute video call with no prescription, no guidance, no actual services, no help. It's been almost a year since I stupidly sought an appointment here and I still think about how much money I wasted on this greedy, predatory scam -- $350 for 15 minutes. Save yourself the money and regret and do not interact with this organization. There are much better options out there. (Posting under fake name for obvious privacy reasons).

In early March I was referred by my PCP to LifeStance Health, which is PCPA new name, due to availability issues. Appointment went fine but without my acknowledgement or consent I was scheduled for another appointment with with a different provider. I only found out about the appointment last night and called LifeStance Health this morning thinking there was some kind of mistake. They acknowledge that this may have been made in error but it is my responsibility to figure out how to cancel the appointment and since I am canceling with less that 48 hours I will be billed, which is completely outrageous. I asked to talk with the manager and was told there is no manager, when I asked who I can complain to about this, they said there is no one... I then asked to talk to the receptionists boss and was told she cannot do that. What kind of organization is this? Was more than happy to file a grievance with my PCP and the BBB as well. STAY AWAY!! Update: So I contacted LifeStance as requested below with my contact information, after a week they have yet to call me.
