I was seen on a video call for no more than 3 minutes. I explained that I was given an email a few minutes before my video consult stating coverage was not available for me. I got on the video call and explained this to the Dr. Laura who informed me that "she has never seen this happen before, but she will figure it out and that if this is an emergency I need to go to the ER" About 7 minutes later I received a bill for $175 from PCPA. I am an ex-con , ex kidnap survivor, with past drug and other issues. I currently have overcame much of that and am running a small business on my own in LA. I simply reached out for help to manage life better at my time of need and the drama that ensued only added to the chaos. I can't imagine going to Med school as my parents did, taking the oath, and then treating and charging people in need of help like this. Both Doctor and the group she is part of are at fault Be ashamed.
