This company is horrible. Do not even attempt to enroll in any of there CA programs especially the Bay Area and Hayes st in SF. The counselors have sex together on graveyard shift in the laundry or storage rooms. I caught them twice and it traumatized me. They threatened to kick me out on the street and throw my belongings away the same night, by driving them to a dumpster in the area. It was raining, windy and freezing cold. I didn't have any choice but to let it go and have to keep the secret. It ruined my recovery efforts. The staff is untrained and they say to us clients that they are underpaid and hate the company. They said they steal the donations that come in becuase of this. Just a scary place to be, Hayes st. OR the Mission st. outpatient. Look out for the director at Hayes st. She threatens to remove u everyday. Erica Smith. This place should be looked at by the city and county and shut down.

I was at 815 Buena Vista however have been to 890 in the past. 815 is boys and girls while 890 is just guys but they have a gym and a pool table. For intake, meaning you're staying for detox which is 5 days or staying 90 days you'll need to go through intake. Show up at 8:30am. Trust me you'll save yourself hours and getting from intake to your bed can take the whole day so showing up early is important. There are 2 mandatory classes you have to attend not to be kicked out. One in the morning and one in the evening Set alarms on your phone for everything. Eating, pills, classes and snack time. Never disrespect your instructor. If he has his way of doing things then follow it even if your way is better. Many of them came from where you are a few years prior so they have no problem getting ghetto with you for not following the rules. Buy your own pillow and blanket. If you're in detox you'll need 3 blankets and still cold. I wore my jacket to bed. Utalize the therapists that are there for you. You need to sign up for this individually. Nobody is going to tell you. If you need a license or ID from DMV get a voucher from your councilor. Every package you get will be inspected. For snacks I recommend ordering from Amazon. Then when the snacks show up you need to play dumb. Make up an excuse like this was sent to me. It's ok. Store the snacks in your personal bin. Then when the guy who's working is cool go say you need your bin. Then load up your snacks in your bag then bring them upstairs. Snacks! I recommend hiding these from staff room searches. You can vape weed. You'll have to sneak it in but I highly recommend it. There are giant windows always open in your room and bathroom. Go to the bathroom unless your roommates are cool otherwise vape from your bed. Hide your stash. People steal Get a tripod for your cellphone so you can watch TV or movies Bring a large coffee or insulated mug larger than 20 ozs. You're going to need it. You need minimal clothes. Clothes are washed every day and delivered to you. Bring smokes and some lighters even if you don't smoke. Menthol a plus You'll have a lot of time to work out your life. Make the most of it Justinzilla

Came here for a dentist appointment. Very busy place with strict policies regarding lateness. Most of the staff were professional and welcoming. The young Asian receptionist on the 5th floor was especially friendly and kind. Facilities like this often receive a lot of undeserved criticism, but they play an extremely important role in our community and the city. Thank you for serving the comunity.

If you come here for help with severe anxiety /ptsd and panic disorder you will not get much help . You are looked at like you are a drug abuser even if you don’t do drugs people wonder why normal people turn to the street for drugs and end up dieing from overdoses it’s because of places like this that refuse to really help you you really feel like their is no choice you try to do things the right way only to get told nothing we can do . Hope they shut this place down except the dentist as they are the only thing that’s amazing here .

It is highly unprofessional and offensive for a dentist to suggest that enamel erosion is caused by meth or fentanyl use without evidence or a proper understanding of the patient's history. As someone from the East Coast, I have never encountered such assumptions from a dentist, especially since I do not use those substances.

Thomas Nguyen, the dentist here is really nice. The girls who work with him were very nice and friendly, too. I am very embarrassed about my teeth and he was so nice and helpful. I am very grateful that I am able to have such a nice dentist. I know someone in Texas where they don't have access to dental insurance with Medicaid. He had a bad tooth and died because he took too much Tylenol, trying to get rid of the pain. In California, low income people on medi-cal also get denti-cal. Just something to think about and be grateful for.

The staff are all friendly. The receptionists, the nurses, and the physician who saw me were all friendly and knowledgeable. However I had an extremely frustrating experience and I believe it’s because of my β€œofficial physician”. I believe his name was Richard. Or the logistics here need serious work. I was sitting in the waiting room for 40 minutes and I had to go to the front and ask them what was going on before they finally came and grabbed me. The physician who spoke to me was great but informed me that the person who’s name is actually assigned to me couldn’t see me. Then he failed to send my prescription to the pharmacy, making me call (which is a tedious and vexing process) and wait at the cvs for the prescription to even show up on the pharmacists end. Then I find out that they forgot to put in my prescription before they went out to lunch. 3 hours later and I still don’t have my medicine. Absolutely despicable. Update: Two days later, multiple phone calls and messages, and they still haven’t sent my medication to the pharmacist. After my third phone call, someone finally physically tracked down the physician to get them to send it. Update: day five. they finally sent my prescription to the pharmacy but they only sent half of it. Now I have to call again to ask them to send the other half πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Just, really incompetent. I was considering making this place my PCP because of how nice and friendly everyone was, but it’s extremely apparent that they do not know how to operate a functioning clinic. I spoke to people in the waiting room who said these antics are pretty standard for this place. Misplaced prescriptions, lost appointments. I’m not sure what’s going on here but I really hope y’all figure it out.
