My husband and I are very happy with the services the Gay Therapy Center provides to us. Not only was it easy to find a therapist, but the supportive staff have been able to assist with other matters when needed. Our therapist, Paul Kellett van Leer, is amazing! Not only as a patient/client but also as a psychologist myself, I highly recommend their services!
So far my experience has been really great. I’ve found a therapist that I like and am sticking to. For someone looking for an LGBT friendly (and focused) service, this one fits the bill for sure. If anything I’d give it a try. The road to recovery starts with the first step, right?
This organization is a great resource for the LBGTQ community. I had an issue I wanted to discuss with a therapist who could relate to my issue. The center connected me with a therapist, but after reading the therapists profile, I did not feel that the person was what I was looking for. I contacted the center, explained my concerns and desires. Within a couple hours they put me in touch with the perfect therapist for me. Our sessions have been remarkably insightful and helpful. I should also mention that I was able to do this all remotely, from Mexico actually.
My partner and I had a great experience with couples counseling through the Gay Therapy Center. We worked with Dr. Bailey, who provided a safe space for us to communicate and discuss the issues and concerns we were having in our relationship. He provided feedback, insight, and helped us to create an open and honest dialogue both in and out of our sessions. We were seeing positive results within just a few sessions. Very thankful for all that Dr. Bailey did for us and would highly recommend using GTC.
Gay Therapy Center has been a great resource. As someone who is new to therapy, I came in with a set of things that I wanted to work on, and my therapist has been good about adapting to my needs as I discover new things about myself and new areas that I want to work on. I've felt listened to and supported every step of the way.
So far my experience with the Gay Therapy Center has been wonderful. The counselor I was match with has helped me so much. Between helping me to lower my anxiety and dealing with more sensitive topics, the experience has been invaluable.
I got in touch with the Gay Therapy Center after finding them on Google. After writing in, a representative at the Center promptly got back me to and set me up with a couple’s therapist in New York City. I’ve been seeing my therapist Jeff Levin, whom the Center referred me to, for a few months now. My partner and I have really found Jeff insightful and his sessions productive and solution-oriented. I’m really grateful the Center pointed us his way and would encourage others looking for help or support to get in touch with the Center to locate the help they need as well.
I needed help. It took a while to reach out but when I did, I received a phone call within 24 hours. I was listened to, and I felt no judgement. I've been through therapy before and this was the first time I've ever felt comfortable on the phone. I'm in Los Angeles but I was followed up with regularly and I truly appreciate the honest follow up and follow through provided. Thank you so much Adam! Truly I do appreciate your kind words and earnest care.
The Gay Therapy Center made it easy to get help, just when we needed it the most. They matched us to a wonderful, caring therapist who managed us through some rough times. I think they saved our marriage. We’re grateful.
When it comes to therapy, I believe experience counts. I like that the Gay Therapy Center has experienced therapists, not just interns. This place has its finger on the pulse of modern gay relationships, and they are very generous with all the helpful free information they provide on their blog.
