I have no idea where they find the people who work here but they are literally the nicest, warmest most friendly and compassionate people I have ever met or interacted with in my life. I am dealing with an absolutely crazy amount of trauma and I’m having trouble finding support, especially in sf where people always seem to be burnt out or just flat out don’t care… But the people here listen. They don’t just listen but they care and use every means possible to help each individual. I literally have never in my life felt so safe and comfortable than I did at Dore (urgent care) it’s literally so freaking cozy and comfortable and all the people there are so nice…. Like I feel like crying just thinking about it because I’m just not use to people treating me well. Please if you need help, or even need safety from someone (like I did) come here and explain your situation to them and they will help you. I promise you it’s not like your traditional psych hospital or any vibe like that. It’s actually the complete opposite. I didn’t know that safety, comfort and nice people existed until i came to Dore… Thank you for that <3
I am eternally grateful for the staff at the DORE residence, I had a mental health crisis happen to me recently, ended up being transferred here to the residence side. Truly San Francisco would be at a loss if the DORE resisdence was not here. I can't imagine how my life would have turned out with this resource. They spent Christmas with us, we eat like royalty, they treat is with the utmost empathy, when I think about it, I get emotional because Empathy is truly a muscle that must be grown and worked out. I have hope today and they have programs to transfer to. The negative reviews obviously are people that got discharged from here for being, because what they describe is not reality and are from people that are dangerous to the environment or disruptive to other people's healing process. These are hard times for the people that come here and a lot of emotion involved. People come and go for many different reasons. But if you want to better your life and rest your mind, and trust me they have loads of patience here. Trust me in my not so finest hours even I have certainly tried it, but they understand where we have come from, recent trauma and hardships. God bless Progress Foundation.
Kind of disappointed they didn’t kick a thief out of here. Literally got caught red handed with her hand in The cookie jar so to speak trying to steal from her roommate. They did literally nothing about it and told me to stop talking about. If it was a man he probably woulda got kicked out or the police called and arrested. People have to pay consequences when they screw up or they’ll never learn. Kinda pathetic because they assured me they were on it. They did 0 about it. Can’t stand thieves and she’s literally still here just chillin. I guess they figured since the victim was leaving the next day they’d let her stick around. This is on the 2 week residence side next dore emergency clinic.
Not really nothing to do at this place to be honest just sleep on couches. No Wi-Fi they feed you TV dinners okay place to get some rest though
Left after being forced to stand way too long in the cold while three employees couldn't figure out how to do an intake and was told 15-20 more minutes still outside. Not great care at all.

Dore Urgent Care deserves special recognition as an outstanding, unique facility. They offer brief (23 hour) psychiatric stabilization including medication. (For urgent refills only, Westside Crisis is a better option.) Sometimes, depending on availability and assessment, they can offer referral to two week crisis residential (ADU) as well but that's not guaranteed. I've been here a number of times over the years and was always met with nonjudgmental, compassionate care. Their nurse practitioners are more knowledgeable than most (MD) psychiatrists I've worked with. Why five stars? Their jobs are hard. They have to stabilize patients often coming from the streets, often in various states of withdrawal from substances... This is often people's first contact in awhile with care, so patients must be assessed and rapidly stabilized... Often without having access to medical records or accurate histories. It's the same job inpatient psych units and ERs have to do, but they do it better and always have the client in mind. You're offered comfortable, quiet respite.. Some brief crisis resolution oriented counseling, and as stated above, sometimes a referral for more treatment. If you're in a mental health crisis in San Francisco, give them a call and see if they might be able to help you. Sometimes they've been full, but always told me I could call back the next day. I hadn't been here in ten years until recently and was delighted to see that the same excellent, non judgmental, compassionate care is offered. I'm meticulous about my mental health and I totally trust Dore UCC. Takes anyone in San Francisco, regardless of insurance or lack thereof , in network with Medicare and/or Medi-Cal, Kaiser.
i stayed 🛏🛋 at humming bird 🐦(Valencia ) for two and a half months 📆📅📁 after I was eligible for a baker house they humming bird started to abuse mentally and a counselor 👤👮 Leo discharged me because i told him I 📂 filed a complaint and then tried to assault me with a security guard 👮 in the basement setting . the police did not file any charges on me or Leo and the security guard that poured soda pop on me ! after they kicked me out .i went to dore clinic they did not want to let me stay there but did for one knight ! because they were told 📞 what happened at humming bird bird ! and had me tell them the whole story . and they believed humming 🐦 now im homeless for about the last week sleeping in 40 degree weather 🌬🌫🌦🌴 do not trust humming bird (Valencia ) or dore they are both evil places and do not care about anybody and will set you up for failure! 👿
Dim, quiet, peaceful and calming. They ask you some questions, then they check you for contraband, then they see you in a big comfortable reclining chair I'm cover you with a big warm comforter. They offer as much food as you want to eat you can take showers there and they'll do your laundry it's a good place to go to feel safe do some thinking to unwind or to get away for 24 hours. Dore will also help you get into an A.D.U. (acute diversion unit).
eXcellent!!!!! Please believe You..... Me!!!!!
