Methadone in a consistent daily dose had allowed me to have 7 yrs without any other drugs or alcohol. It has saved my life and I now have 2 beautiful boys to love and care for. I could never stay sober before finally trying it along with 12 step recovery. I don't think it matters where the clinic is, if you want to stop using, just go, and be patient until you get on a stable dose. It may be low or high but your dose is where you are able to function in a healthy life while having noore cravings. Don't be scared of methadone. Please

its been about a year since ive been gone from this clinic , and to keep it short this place is unprofessional ,unethical and the counselors go out of their way to commit negligent acts ,Yes im talking about you debbie! everything you say is not confidential lets just say they dont practice what they preach, they ll put alot more energy into messing up your day and treatment plan then to actually help you, but the absolute most horrible thing I complained about and actually made me throw up many times was the rat feces and urine on the bottom of the caps of my meds disgusting!

Avoid this place at all costs. This is a shady BUSINESS, that makes money from the amount of methadone they distribute. They will dangerously cut your doses down for ridiculous reasons after hiking it up far too high, and their counselors are woefully unprepared for many situations, and it is practically impossible to get take-homes. You will also sit in slow lines for insane times waiting for your dose around very unpleasant people. Go to OTOP at ward-93 at SF general!!! It is night and day above baart. The staff is super helpfull and understanding and will work with you in ways that baart never will. After switching i cant believe i took so long to do it

This place is so unorganized always at least an hour wait. The nurses dont have a set lunch time, and they take lunch together closing down the windows for a minimum of 40 minutes. If confidentiality is important don't come here... They leave you outside in a block long line for hours with everyone who walks rides or drives by knowing you are on methadone. The women who work the front are nice, but the nurses are unnecessarily mean and look down their nose at people trying to conquer their addictions. Did I mention that they will leave for lunch with patients in line.? If you want to be treated promptly and with respect I would go elsewhere!! There are quite a few clinics in sf to pick from.

...I've been a client here for 10+ years, and it has gotten better over the years. They are Super nice now,. And if you can get in early, the better. Work with them, and they work for you. They also have a Mental Health Program. M.W Oct 2022

I mean ,they are service providers,as far as that goes, they do it well. It's actually MUCH better than it used to be. The staff are all courteous and helpful, some are even warm. . I think the best thing about the clinic now is that they are DOG FRIENDLY.

Great staff. It is what it is as a dosing clinic. I wish they would get new computers. The computers are down every three or four weeks and they are slow. Lines and waits actually aren't that bad. Remember to stay on as low a dose as possible as it takes a lot of time to taper off methadone.

The doctors are great. So are SOME RARE FEW gems in staff. The best thing at this clinic is the childcare. That's the only reason I've stayed. The clinic is gross, always smells and is dirty. The people are just... beyond most of the time. And there are so many unprofessional staff that can really make people feel worse or out down rather than helping. Super inconsistent when it comes to meeting with counselors. Like I said some staff are truly great for being patient and sympathetic and childcare is awesome. One less thing to worry about.

The staff here are wonderful and work incredibly hard to try to make us successful in our recovery. This clinic enabled me to lead a more productive and normal life over the many years I have been with them. However, particularly since the recent change in ownership, things have gone downhill at both locations. I understand that it is a for profit business, but someone's experience at this clinic could potentially determine the overall quality of their entire life. That should always be considered. Again, I feel bad for the staff as they work desperately to compensate. I continue to go to this clinic because of them. Please give them adequate resources.

Professional, efficient, discreet, friendly & very clean. Highly recommended! Ty to all the BAART Turk staff !!! I couldn't have progressed as far as I have today without the help I've received from the program.
