I had been in therapy for years and I had little progress. I was referred to Grossman & I was blessed to work with Megan. She gave me tools that I will carry with me to help me in my every day life. I was discharged 3 months ago & I am so greatfull that I was taught how to deal with things in my everyday life. I will forever be grateful for Megan and the help she gave me. I highly recommend Grossman and Grossman.

Therapy is a very sensitive thing that needs to be handled delicately. So when you're someone who's struggling, and struggling to reach out for help, it's beyond demoralizing to be REJECTED for that help. Especially in such an unprofessional way. Jackie Hernandez replied to an intake request for someone I know with: "Services will be declined at this time." This was the entire email, except for a signature and "Hello,". Unbelievable. Well thank you, Jackie! No empathy, no tact, no "here's other resources or practices nearby," nothing that shows there's a human on both ends of that request. Absolutely appalling. Perhaps this was a bullet dodged.

This place is complete trash. I do not recommend them. They say they tried to contact you when they don’t then charge your insurance without ever giving you any services. Then close your case. This place is a waste of time and energy. If you are looking for help. Look somewhere else.

Our experience with this practice was not trauma-informed — it was traumatizing. They assigned a therapist who was clearly unqualified to work with an autistic individual with communication challenges and a complex trauma history. The therapist seemed to lack proper training in both autism and trauma, often misread emotional cues, pushed beyond limits, and caused confusion and distress that, in our opinion, led to further trauma. Sessions were held over Zoom — not a secure telehealth platform. We experienced repeated technical problems, including poor audio and disconnections, and the therapist failed to take responsibility or offer a more appropriate solution. Given the risks to privacy, this setup was especially concerning. The therapist eventually stopped communication and offered no closure, transition, or referrals. From our perspective, this amounted to abandonment at a highly vulnerable time. As other reviewers have pointed out, this kind of abrupt disengagement is not only unethical — it may also violate legal obligations, particularly for providers who accept Medicaid and are expected to follow state-mandated standards of care. What should have been a healing process instead caused additional trauma. Children and vulnerable individuals deserve safe, ethical, and truly trauma-informed care.

This was by far the worst experience my family and I ever had. We were retraumatized by professionals claiming to be trauma informed and trained resulting in mental health to spiral and more anxiety. This was by far the worst counseling experience ever, they closed out our case without following proper protocol to ensure other counseling had been set up as required by law, and input was illegally given to an attorney sighting it as a recommendation when that person had never even met any of us. Stay away from Grossman and Grossman, do you research and due diligence on the facility, owners and the counselors. If I could give negative stars I would.

This was a waste of time. Corporate healthcare is never a good thing. At first my referral was ignored because someone at Grossman transcribed my phone number incorrectly. Months later I was contacted by a Grossman employee who was not a therapist, but what they call a triage worker. The triage person is not a therapist, but can bill insurance for taking up your time on a weekly basis without bothering to determine if Grossman can even provide services for your needs. Basically I am dealing with brain damage caused by a botched medical procedure for which I had not been anaesthetized but had been given Twilight Sleep, a drug that is associated with severe, long-term PTSD. If I am sufficiently triggered my heartrate and BP will shoot up to a point where I am in danger of heart attack or stroke. My trigger is being in a healthcare environment or even seeking out healthcare and the problem is getting worse as I get older. Under the advice of AMA certified brain care specialists I am trying to find a doctor who will work with me as I undergo psychedelic therapy, which shows a lot of promise for people dealing with extreme cases of PTSD. I made this clear to my triage person who was supposed to determine if my case would be acceptable for Grossman therapy. The triage person gets a check for keeping you on the phone every week and keeping you from seeking healthcare elsewhere. Triage did not consult with her employer about whether they would be willing to work with me. The therapist who eventually had a free spot on her schedule did not look at my chart notes before taking my case, and was quite indignant when I told her what I was looking for. She ended our "session" abruptly and showed absolutely no empathy for me. No kind words were spoken, not even vague well wishing, for someone whose life is clearly in crisis. She was apparently angry at me because the triage person failed to do her job, and also because she couldn't be bothered to look at my notes before agreeing to take my case. It's a good thing that these untrained and unqualified people did not attempt to provide me with healthcare; that is exactly what scrambled my brain to begin with. However, just attempting to get healthcare is intensely stressful for me and getting strung along for months, hoping to eventually receive care, and then being contemptuously dismissed was absolutely devastating. Corporate healthcare is never a good thing.

Are you an Arizonan? Have you been through a single or series of traumatic events? Do you struggle with anxiety, intrusive thoughts or functioning because of this? G&G's carefully selected therapists will save you like they saved me. If you're on AHCCSS, rejoice! There's hope, and you don't have to go through this alone. Of course, the caveat is that therapy doesn't work for everyone - but for those it does work for, if you're in need, call. There's nothing to lose, and everything to gain.

loved my therapist and she treated me very well, like a real person unlike any other place I've received therapy from. 11/10 would recommend.
