My choice to leave this branch was after my therapist was wrongly terminated under their employment. I was not given the proper branch to say goodbye, and after being with her for 3 years, JFS could have given us at least that. But no. I cannot recommend a location that's this unethical. The progress this has set my trust issues back is palpable at best.
Terrible service, my kid went cuckoo for cocoa puffs and they did nothing. bad management too. I hope they step on legos every day for the next 3 days.
I would not waste your time requesting mental health services with JFS. I was in the process of seeking therapy but the process of scheduling has been anything but positive. They are slow to get back to you and seem to be under staffed. I was patient with their process in finding someone who’d best fit my criteria. I was advised to reach out after the holidays (July 4th) if I did not hear back. Since I did not receive a follow up, I called their mental health clinic department for an update. I was first put on hold and then when I spoke to the receptionist, she hung up on me. I was dumbfounded that someone would hang up to begin with, so I thought we just got disconnected. After calling a few times to simply ask when can I schedule their services, I was continuously hung up on. The last hang up the receptionist complained. How disappointing and discouraging. It takes a lot for a person to even make the first step to seeking professional help for their mental health issues. So the fact this person did this, has no idea the negative impact she caused. Perhaps she does have an idea and doesn’t care. She was not hesitant to do this repeatedly so I can only assume I’m not the only person who’s experienced this. Shame on you. I also tried to call another department and the general operator to address what I just experienced and to speak to someone in scheduling anyways, hoping there was a misunderstanding. But no one answered, and I tried to leave a voicemail that only lasted 5 seconds. So I couldn’t even leave a message that would’ve been useful. So confusing. All in all, terrible experience, and I haven’t even gotten past the 1st step. I’m thoroughly disappointed and frankly, disgusted.
Had a really good experience with Dana and she was very kind. Looking forward to going back if/when my partner and I need it.
The best therapist I've ever seen out of many. I have seen Stacey S. seeing her for many issues and has expertised with a number of modalities and is person centered and truly cares about clients. I highly recommend Jewish Family Services. They include various case management and the supervisor Sam M. I've worked with her and is caring and highly responsive.
Why I never got a phone call back. Left several messages. There are people that actually need counseling
i talked with cat in intake and she was really nice and a good listener about my problems. I liked her a lot and she gave me some numbers that i can call to get some more help with insurance and my kids to. i called her back too over the weekend about something else i need help with and she called me first thing Monday and helped. I hV not seen my new counselor yet but my talk with cat was good so i am happy so far
Beverly Felten was extremely condescending towards me. She should retire soon. My therapist was so/so.
George Saxton a very unprofessional so called psychologist that my wife has encountered. Very bias and giving wrong advise. This are the words from Saxton """That n able for my wife to have her ex stop smoking in the house when his son has asthma is to have gotten a court order." Saxton was defending her ex husband as though he was not neglecting his son health and putting his life in jeopardy Who in there right mind say that? Surly he knows about second hand smoke especially on an asthmatic child.? Run away from this psychologists he is crazy he needs help..
the Best Place to go to for anything .
