I am incredibly lucky to have found 4D - it will forever be a part of my life. I am a recovering alcoholic now, rather than a miserable alcoholic living a depressing life, only because of this place. Their program saved my life and took me in at a time when I wanted to give up. LITERALLY. They helped me in so many ways and provided me the tools I desperately needed to live a sober and happy life. Addiction is hard, a daily struggle, but 4D helped me in ways I wouldn't have found elsewhere. Trust me, I tried!! Every day, I fight for my sobriety, my family, my happiness and future, because of the support I received here, along with the amazing staff, that never gave up on me and helped show me the light. Jake was one of the staff members there that ran our daily meetings. He became a mentor to me and a true brother. I know I will always have a safe place here should I ever need to return.
My review is to express my deepest gratitude for everything 4th Dimension has done for my family. Before we found your organization, my husband’s drinking had escalated to a level of severe alcoholism that we were not prepared to handle. It was an incredibly difficult and scary time that deeply affected his health, our relationship, and our entire household. I truly don’t know what we would have done without your help and amazing program. Your entire team stepped in with the strength, support, and direction we needed to save his life and our marriage. I would like to specifically mention your program Director, Melissa. Her hands-on approach and physical presence in the residents' daily lives provide the accountability and support necessary for REAL recovery. She maintains a welcoming, structured, and—most importantly—safe atmosphere that allowed my husband to take back his life. Today, my husband is officially eight months sober, and I am forever grateful. I will always recommend 4th Dimension to anyone struggling with addiction. Thank you for everything you do and for being such strong advocates for recovery.
I did not have a good experience. 4th Dimension is run horribly. All of 4D, as far as owners, directors, employees, need to be 100% replaced. I noticed a lot of unethical things, all the while get swept under the rug. The director at the Hostel, Melissa, is completely and utterly RUDE, judgmental, and demeaning. She treats people terribly if they are not on her good side. In all of 4D fashion- they are of course inconsistent and have different (RIDICULOUS) rules for every resident that comes through the doors. I believe they would let anyone do just about anything before losing them as a means of $$. I would absolutely NEVER recommend 4D for treatment/sober living. Also just to be clear, the people that are in control at 4D are not working a 12 step based program. The managers at the hostel are quite literally the laziest people I have ever met. I witnessed many of times people trying to get help with something from one of them and the women's manager would just ignore people knocking on her bedroom door and she just ignores it. She also NEVER does anything besides lay in bed. Just recently, there was a bed bug outburst at the hostel. After talking to a few other residents, this is apparently quite a normal thing. Hopefully that is enough information and feedback to prevent anyone else going there & being treated as a paycheck. Getting kicked out 3 days ago was probably the best thing that could have happened for my recovery. That place is TOXIC
This is a safe sober living option. I'm very grateful for this opportunity. House managers are excellent, staff is excellent and very helpful. Great structure for recovery. I recommend highly.- Cecilia
I came to 4th Dimension unsure and fearful of the road ahead. I was stepping into the unknown to face myself and battle my addiction head on. When I arrived at 4D I was very nervous filled with anxiety. I was immediately greeted with kindness and understanding of staff from their own journeys, showing empathy and allowing me to feel heard. 4D quickly became a safe place for me to learn, share and practice a new way of life. The programming available meets people where they're at so they may better be of service to those individuals that come through the doors. The one on one therapy is absolutely amazing and helpful. It allowed me a safe place to process and share what laid deep within me, pushing me to become honest with myself and start to overcome the baggage of my past. Without taking this vital step for my recovery I don't think I would be alive today. I thank 4D for the opportunity to be a vital part of my journey through life's ups and downs to find myself. I can truly say 4th Dimension played a huge role in why I am still alive today. I am going into my 4th year of staying clean and sober and have been shown a new way to live and be free. Thank you 4th Dimension.
I visited 4D last year during an open house and had a wonderful time learning about the program, the staff, and our brothers and sisters in recovery. Jason Gonzalez pours his heart and soul into all he does. I am inspired by the good he has accomplished in the Milwaukee community.
The presence that 4th Dimension Recovery Center has made in the recovery community has had a very positive impact on the city of Milwaukee and the surrounding areas. The programs and resources that they offer those struggling with addiction has saved countless lives. The CJ Lomas Recovery Foundation is grateful to have formed such a valuable relationship as they continue to provide the much needed resources to those struggling with addiction and hope to their families. They are truly doing God's work.
Having known Jason Gonzalez for several years, I can honestly say he is a person of very high character. Though I have not been a resident at 4D, I respect Jason and what he is doing immensely. He is a selfless leader and confidant, with a positive, "you can do it" approach to life. If you know someone that needs help to overcome addiction, Jason is your man.
4th Dimension literally saved my life. I struggled with substance abuse issues for the better part of 15 years and went to treatment numerous times (7+) with very little success. The structure and community provided the foundation for what is now over 8 years of continued sobriety. I now have the love of my family back and am a Clinical Substance Abuse counselor. Another thing I loved about the program is that all of the staff (owners, directors) actively live a program of recovery.
Best place in the world. This place is literally the difference between life and death for some people. The entire staff is awesome. They are all passionate about what they do, especially Mrs. Murphy, she is the absolute best and has the most beautiful soul in the world. :)
