False Promises and Discriminatory Practices - Mission Statement Failed My daughter was turned away from this facility, despite their public claim that they "don't turn anyone away." This experience suggests a major disconnect between their stated mission and their actual policy. When we inquired, the staff initially confirmed they had available beds for treatment. However, the moment it became clear my daughter did not have insurance, the story abruptly changed, and we were suddenly told there were no beds available. This felt like discriminatory and unprofessional behavior. They need to be transparent and let people know up front if they have zero capacity or if insurance is a mandatory requirement for immediate placement. The sloppy professionalism and lack of honesty at intake are unacceptable. Furthermore, their apparent practice of pushing people back to the same environments ("the hood") that fueled their addiction only creates a revolving door. They are failing their clients and their community by not following through on their mission statement to provide effective care. They need serious accountability. Every time I went to these location myself I never could get help but when I got insurance now you want to help me and they keep doing it ✌THE COMMUNITY DEPENDS ON THESE SERVICES AND THEY FAILED MISERABLY✌

I have been a patient here through several Clinic doctors and unfortunately these new administrators and doctors don't show that they care about the patients. They make changes to your care without even discussing it, they do not allow any help if you have any emergency in your life. I don't know why doctors such as this one go into methadone recovery when they don't really care about the methadone patient. It really saddens me to write this kind of review because in this area of care we really need people that are educated and are there for the well-being of the patient. The government is always saying how the overdose deaths are so high but they don't look at the recovery centers and how people that are really trying to recover are treated

It's ridiculous the protocol and process they have to make you run around jumping thru hoops, yet they take no accountability for the issues they cause to hinder a person getting back up. Can't email, or text case workers? Why, that makes no sense... And with the turnover rate on the employees, well there's obviously something wrong.... Yet no transparency A shame because they're supposed to help, instead just raking in that funding

I did the over the phone intake, and was told to go in person. I was turned away for not being "severe" enough, and given a counseling resource that's across town from where I reside. It took me months to work up the courage and to go here. My anxiety is crazy and makes it difficult to do anything these days. So I'm just stuck where I was to begin with it. Told I have lots of trauma and probably depression by the intake worker, never saw anyone else. Very disappointed, a huge waste of my time going all the way downtown in morning traffic. I was exhausted for 3 days just from the stress and anxiety. I'm assuming go here if you have severe mental illnesses only. Wish the over the phone intake would've clarified that for me instead of telling me to come in person. πŸ‘ŽπŸ½

Had me wait 5 hours to ask 3 questions and send me off literally wasted time I didn’t have. They also never answer the damn phone. The machine says put the extension number but yet no one in there has one.

Disappointed with Marcella supervisor recommendeding Haven for Hope for a person who is homeless, HIGH medical needs and disabled. First floor staff needs to be more courteous. As for canceling within 24hrs needs to be revisited and be circumstantial. Hospital is a valid reason. Dr. O was great.

Yes sometimes you stay up at night but just take another shower Also drinking water and milk help to and reading the Bible. Also tell on the dealers that got you hook to the crime stoppers in San Antonio. Just goto there website and you can also leave a message

I have been here 6 years and I love this clinic. It has helped me so much in my recovery. They charge based on income so for me since I'm low income its free. This is one of 3 clinics in San Antonio who charge like this. Others charge 11 to 20 dollars a day! I love that they have programs for the mommy's and they have a free primary care clinic for us. The staff is great except their are 2 individuals that are just very rude to clients. I am a very nice individual and I am very respectful even if I have someone who is not so nice to me. I find that the lady at the front financial desk is so very rude to clients in the 6 years I have been there. She treats people very rude, me being one of them. I have never treated her with disrespect. She one day had 3 people in line and another staff member asked her can I help you with one of the clients and their paperwork. She said "No they can stand there and wait". It made me feel like I was no one. When your at a doctors office you treat a patient with respect and you be courteous and you do your job efficiently and in a timely manner to get them in and out. She completely disregards clients and their feelings. I have heard her speak very unkind to clients as well. It is very sad. Another person who is disrespectful and does not seem to want to be there at all is a dosing nurse. I don't know her name because I have only been to her window so much over the 6 years. She sits at the middle window and I have seen and heard her be so very mean to clients. I asked her one time if a certain medication interferes with methadone. She shrugged her shoulders and said I don't know! I believe dosing nurses should know these things. Any nurse or doctor who works at a methadone clinic should know what interferes with methadone, how other medications interact with methadone, what you should and should not take with it. If they don't know by heart thry should have a list they can check. Beside those 2 women, the other staff are very respectful, nice, and doesn't treat us like we're just addicts. They actually care about our recovery and us as people not just people who were addicts. I have had great experiences at this clinic except when in front those 2 women. There are a few things I like to see change....the dosing hours extended to 2pm, the takehomes given on a case by case basis and extended to 2 weeks for those who have worked hard to stay sober and get clean UA's and are model clients, i would like to see them take away rapid detox of the methadone because it is very dangerous for any individual on methadone and instead come up with a better detox plan that isn't so fast. I would like to see multiple back up plans put in place incase of computer shut downs, extreme weather, or emergencies. I would also like to see all the staff especially the dosing nurses and doctors go through methadone training where they learn what interacts with methadone, what is good and not good to take with it, how methadone affects the body with certain diagnosis like hypothyroidism, diabetes, cancer and so on, how extreme heat and physical activity interferes with the dose levels in our body. How to do a peak and through test for clients, how methadone affects pregnant women, and anything else that can help them understand symptoms clients have on methadone and without methadone. I also think it would be good for them to learn the withdrawals of methadone and how severe they can be especially when you decrease and detox off of methadone too fast. Despite everything I wish they would change I am grateful for the things they have changed so far. They have done a great job cleaning up the clinic and kicking those out who abuse methadone, who sell their methadone, who aren't on methadone for the right reasons, who use methadone as a drug to get high off, and who deals and buys drugs and pills in front of the cclinic Ihated seeing that especially when trying to get sober.

They had an attitude about them already giving me a receipt but since i paid with my fsa i need an itemized statement. If you have insurance GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
